Wasting ammos ftl.MonsieurXIt's called target practice...
What kind of idiot does that, I mean it's funny but really? Their superior let them do that?Toriko42I'm guessing you've never work in the military, or in logistics. Here's how it works: The executives see broken equipment in locations, they say "get rid of it". Why? It costs money to keep broken equipment around, wastes space, and lowers productivity. From the financial side of things, buying new equipment in the fiscal year will lower taxes, and the depreciation on new equipment is also a tax write-off.

The executives tell managers in the company, such as myself, to keep our carrying costs low and discard / recycle / decommission any broken equipment. We then have our supervisors and staff deal with whatever needs to be destroyed. - So why would I tell my supervisors and staff to have a field day breaking something?
-
Simple:
-
1. It will actually get done, because it's fun to do. Getting people to do dirty maintenance work on hydraulic lifts or scrub conduits is like pulling teeth, getting people to stand on the roof and throw computers off? Pretty easy.
-
2. It improves moral. How happy would you be if you got a direct order at your job to "go office space" on some printer that'd been pissing you off all week?
-
3. It encourages team bonding. My staff have to rely on each other to avoid injury, get the job done, and deal with critical situations on a regular basis. Shared social experiences form the basis for communication, and foster the trust needed to perform at their best.
[QUOTE="silentkill62696"][QUOTE="slvrraven9"] you see, theres an actual POINT to those kinda tests though. accuracy so our soldiers can be more proficient and wast less bullets in the long run and actually last longer in a war. the other two are pretty self explanatory. shooting up an already dead video game system hardly seems justifiable.slvrraven9ur trying to say that its hardly justifiable to shoot at a dead game system when they're out there killing humans everyday. seriously? are you comparing an xbox to a human being? anyways these humans are willing to kill for what they believe in so why should we send soldiers to the front lines unprepared. your logic is phail. why would you even compare the two?I wasn't comparing an xbox to a human being. I was saying that ur sense of justice is misplaced. Ur complaining about American soldiers shooting an xbox when everyday they're out there killing ppl. Why the hell should one even care if a soldier shot up some dead system when our guys are out there dying and killing others everyday. Ur reading comprehension is phail.
To all those crying about priority's and wasting money get over yourself and grow the *&%$@# up. Who cares if they shot the crap out of one of their 360's. I think they have a right to blow up or shoot anything they damn well want to if it takes a crap on them. Did any of you consider the fact that they might use that as a way torealax andand take their mind off of things when they get back to base??? Its not like there in a stress-less environment, where IED's and the chance of dying aren't a contently on their minds.
And to those who say "and this is why America isn't taken seriously". Next time you country needs help of any kind why don't you do it your damn self. Instead of asking us to pull you feet out of the fire. The U.S needs to stop babysitting the world and let all the world step up instead of us!!!
HOORAH!Not to make this about politics, but you have troops out there risking their lives while fighting a war, trying to have a good time, and all you can think about is that this is a waste of money. Now you can agree or disagree on either of the wars, but the fact is that they're still out their fighting.Such a waste of bullets/money.

Your posts often give the sense of being talked down too. I understand that the context of the board will often make thought out posts to be like this but yours just so much more then some of the other reasonable posters here. Like a guy that doesnt drink at a house party in Russia, theres nothing inherently wrong with him, he just goes against the flow of the place.
OT: Theyre letting of steam, nothing wrong with it. Ammo waste is probably the moral equivalent of stealing a pen from work (with the added bonus of actually enjoying doing it)

People if you want to cry about your money, tell your local politician to stop with their wasteful expenditures. .. In sweden they would send your ass home, disband you from service and file charges against you if you did that while being on a military mission. It's strange how much our worlds seem to differ.

Nice. I'm sure their military is respectable. A soldier is a soldier. Respect for all here. Please Log In to post.
