The advantage are trivial, and the performance decrease isnt worth it.

Not to mention the only game that really promted a DX10 upgrade - Crysis, has most of the DX10 features - and Very High Setting on XP - with a few file changes.

Its not a necessity yet.

Some of us out there like myself arent willing to pay $1500+ to run games like that, i can run UT3 on a ps3 just the same as a high end PC for about 1/3 the price. And also some people like myself hate playing shooters with a mouse and keyboard, i like the analog sticks on a controller better.

$700 would easily max UT3, infact any game bar Crysis.

Then why don't you volunteer some money to someone else so that they can buy a rig. Knocking people because their only financially viable or preferred option is a console version is childish.

It doesn't cost anywhere near $1500, it cost about $650 tops to max UT3 and basically everyPC game out

Dude, clearly posting on here means you have a mouse monitor and Keyboard, those are periperals that have no effect on maxing a game.

Yeh....wait, what?!?! Gears of war can't even touch that picture. If I was actually a high enough level to post a comparison, I would. GeoW was good looking back in '06, for a console game that is. In 2007 it can't even touch UT3, Crysis, Geow on the PC, Uncharted, and CoD4 to name a few.

UT3 on PC absoutley smashes Gears in the Visual department.

Wow.. these guys really made progress, Epics engine is a joke, it was ahead of a time, but its clearly buggy as hell.. texture pop in all over the place + buggy gameplay. It works for mass effect, but is infuriating during competitive gameplay.

So whats UT3 on 360 gonna look like if it has a longer dev time and will have a 1 1/2 year progression of graphics over gears.

First off Team Fortress 2 was not horrible on consoles. Secondly, some of us aren't able to run it.

Yeah TF2 was great for me. I've played it for over 30 hours so far.

Now now, did I say better? that hevily depends on the game, I dont consider the PC Version of COD4 better gameplay wise, because you have to be very careful, whereas on the 360 version I could run out in the open and get away with murder before being shot ... PC version *goes out of cover* *SPLAT*.

But I can see why UT3 would be easier, trick jumps + aiming ... cmon? I really dont see that working with analogs do you?

I am going to borrow a mates Orange Box for the 360 next week, going to play Team fortress 2 to see the difference. But I can gaurentee some classes are screwed over ... like the Scout, the Engineer ( for actual shooting ) ... Snipers?

Hermits or the extreme ones do this more than anyone else. I made a blog about u'll see "PC FTW" or "PC is best" in threads that arent even about the PC AT ALL.

Say what u will but Hermits or certain ones seem to have a inferiority complex over the hype and focus console gaming is getting so they bash console games, consoles and console owners and belittle us all to make themselves feel better. Happens all the time here.

I mean hell I love Halo and its a AAA franchise but u dont see me going around saying "Halo AAA franchise" in threads that have nothing to do with Halo at all or everywhere else.... if u love PC that;s fine but SW is full of PC is best talk as if they believe people need to be convinced and need to join them lol

Why can't people like what they like? I dont enjoy many Wii games as a whole and would much rather get a PS3 but u dont see me going around bashing the Wii. Its not my taste overall and that's just me

Looks good (I never tried it without an install), but still features the god-awful texture pop-in that Mass Effect was raked over the coals for.

Normally I would agree, but in this case UT3 was slowed down for the PS3 so it wouldn't be too fast for the game pad. Plus I play UT3 with KB/M on my PS3 :). It doesn't look quite as good, but still an amazing experience. I've always been a UT PC fan, but my card wont allow this one :(.
