Unreal Tournament III: Worth Getting for the 360?

I have a 360 and am stoked for all of the great upcoming online games such as Halo 3, CoD 4, andTeam Fortress 2. I was also looking forward to UTIII until I heard that it was going to be inferior to the pc and PS3 versions without the inclusion of mods and what not. I am certainly not going to buy a PS3 just for a game or two and I am not going to spend money on upgrading my pc. My question is, will UTIII be a great online game and have a great online community compared to the PS3 and pc versions?

Another question I have is what specifically makes the 360 version of UTIII inferior besides the lack of mods?

If all you have is a 360 then yes it will be worth it. But if you have either a PS3 or PC you would be hard pressed to find anyone who would choose the 360 version.foxhound_fox

I've never been a big fan of the Unreal Tournament games. Just not my style. And it is only worth getting for the 360 if you don't own either a PS3 or a decent PC. Those two versions are clearly better than the 360 version.Mrcod11

I'll second this and just say that there are too many other titles coming to the 360 for me personally to even warrant a look at UT 3.

I think you should just get it anyway even though it wont be as good.
Besides the lack of mod:
ps3 version has K+M support
Cross-platform online play between ps3 and pc (I dont know if this was confirmed or not)
Earlier release date for ps3 and pcBlitz_Nemesis

That's not a problem. Most Xbots detest KB/M functionality--they much prefer controllers: so this shouldn't be a problem for them.

bleh, I never see a 360 game having more achievements as a plus, I've had my 360 since last Christmas and have only received achievements just because I play the game. I have never checked the achievement list for a game and have attempted to get those specific achievements.

Well my computers not to good so i'm getting it for the 360. Even if I had a PS3 i'd get it for the 360 because i'm bad with the PS3 controler for shooters and 360's got Live.xXHackettXx

But that is one reason why someone mught try the 360 version over the other 2. I honestly don't know why anyone would not the PC version though. Twitch shooters on consoles does not sound like fun to me.

Yeah, exactly. This is the kind of game that needs 60FPS+ along with KB/M. I can't see the PS3 or the 360 providing both of these.

Why would anyone want Keyboard and moust support on a console... I hope to god that microsoft proves to be much smarter then sony in this area... if your buying this game for a your console system you need to be able to deal with the controller... allowing keyboard and mouse will ruin the entire game. If you dont use it, you will have no chance... so basically everybody will be forced to go out and spend more money on a keyboard and mouse just to be competitive in the game. Why would anyone want that?

This is rather off-topic, but it is related to UTIII.

I never understand why Sony fans seem to be happy to choose the console version of Unreal Tournament over the PC version but say any 360 gamewill be better on PC. :?
