Unreal Tournament Screens and Video (CGI level Graphics)

To think they were able get this far with the game and its only in pre-alpha stage. They started last year and this what they were able to achieve.

Hello from San Francisco! We’re at GDC representing all your hard work with today’s release. This update includes a revamped launcher, a new customized Unreal Editor for UT, and the new Unreal Tournament marketplace. New content includes the Malcolm and Necris characters, as well as Outpost 23, a fun and beautiful map that’s designed to show where UT can go, and give you content to use in your own maps.

A very early build of their character models still in early production. The first one is Necris. Will wait to see everything in GDC 2015. There are still place holders like some of the weapons.

I like the artstyle. Looks very, very clean and almost sterile (but not quite). I think they nailed the look of a tech world/map quite nicely :)

We mocked them because it was only for blurry movie-games with smoke and mirrors corridors, rather than in real games.

Horrible framerate even on an empty map. Looks like bloated windows is affecting performance.

Double jump, jump dodge, wall dodge or go home.

I played Quake and UT back in the day....and those games were around for years....I don't want an updated version of an old arena shooter.

Hell yeah.... NO GEARS OF WAR MODELS YEA!!!!! I hated hated hated UT3 for that bulky gears speaker armor wearing crap models that felt like you were moving around bricks. UT3 didn't feel like UT...it felt like Gears with a ut mode.

It's been years since a new powerhouse Arena shooter has come out. Here's to graphics innovations.... I just wish it wasn't Free to play. I loved buying ut99 and ut04 with the 40+ maps and modes.... it was pure shooter bliss. Miss those days.

Why the hell not.... we haven't had them for years ... Quake and UT were balanced none of that rewarding the best player with crap to get even more of an advantage that is in modern shooters like cod. It was fast it was insanely fun and addictive. The announcers and gibs made it great. I miss it so much. I can't wait for this.

Let me guess...you probably make fun of this but are chopping at the bit for a new halo... ugggh.... (that's a series that needs to be put out to pasture already!)

Maybe b/c UT2K4 was a step forward with the double tapping of the buttons and rewarding skill beyond bunny hopping and twitch gaming.

90% of the ppl who played Quake and UT weren't like those guys in the ladders in those videos you see. Where it was all tactical in every way blah blah. UT2K4 was a fucking blast....and I miss it.

ut2k4 was fucking awesome but none of the talent that made that game is still working at epic. the movement and physics of this are nearly identical to ut3 at this point. ut3 was pure shit.

dude, this is just an arena shooter. It's not like they have to built an Engine from scratch, develop setting, characters, a story... It's just maps, some recycled guns, and make some incredibly ugly character models.

Five years for a low scoring game with little replay ability, reused boss fights, reused QTE, dumb AI, and the story wasn't even good neither were the characters.
