Unreleased 2009 exclusive games (360 & PS3)

I'm just doing this off the top of my head so If I miss something just tell me and I'll add it. Also, this only contains games that have not been released and are confirmed or at least unoffcially confirmed to release this year.

XBOX 360:

Sony is tricky because they tend to announce their games very early in development.

• Uncharted 2 (scheduled for fall - confirmed for 2009 fiscal) Pencil this one in. :P

So, these are coming this year, probably.

ALso, remember M$ closed down a BUNCH of their 1st parties so we could get GTA, Fallout, Tomb Raider, etc DLC...not to mentioned timed exclusives like RockBand 2.

So while exclusives may not happen as much, we will get more timed exclusives, and some cool exclusive DLC instead.

Sure, but I never mentioned exclusive. I suppose we will see a RARE game, and probably Forza 3. Those games are super late, so I expect they should be ready in 2009.

I don't think either system is getting another AAAE for a long time. Probably Q4 at bestCouth_

I guess that depends on if you count MLB09 : The Show as an exclusive or not...but at least a AAA came out since KZ2.

banjo is a real exclusive game they need more, real exclusives like that, that games never gonna coming to pc/ps3/wii that's what a exclusive is.

BUT...360 does have a really good exclusive DLC, and Timed games. It's one way or the other, and since M$ is ditching most of their 1st parties, it's a different strategy.

We are used to Nintendo, SEGA, Sony having strong 1st parties, since that didn't pan out for M$, they are trying a different approach,and the whole point of this business is to move consoles and games, so it seems to be working.

The average joe doesn't notice exclusives as much as the Rockband's, Guitar Hero's, Madden's of the world, and M$ knows this.

microsoft need's to rethink their strategy, they just need to focus on making quality first party/second party titles but also have good 3rd party support.

That's the problem, M$ was sinking money into games like Too Human, Kameo, and they rethought their strategy.

It isn't about if the game is good or not, it's about explodiing sales that bring more users. Did PDZ bring more users, or will GH, Madden, etc?

What if instead of spending Millions on Too Human to sell 360's, we spend money on Exclusive DLC for games that everyone loves (Like Fallout, GTA, Tomb Raider).

M$ also put money into Timed Exclusives, like Last Remnant, and Rock Band 2.

The trick is to sell 360's, and they found the money better invested in games they know will win over consumers Faster.

They are banking on PROVEN Franchises, and it seems to be working.

See sony doesnt really care they just want some good games for their console to show off their hardware, while microsoft does nothing to support it's hardware and leave it up to 3rd party devs to make games, that's a really sad strategy.

well bungie was microsoft first party, not anymore but microsoft should realize if they made another quality shooting franchise it would sell just like halo, why does it gotta beonly halo atleast offer a variety lol of exclusive fps and halo really isnt even exclusive and perfect dark zero sucks in my opinion could of been great.

instead of just halo and perfect dark zero why cant xbox360 have some real exclusive first person shooters built for 360's hardware to show off what it's capable of graphically.

perfect dark zero actually isnt that bad of a game, but the freelooking needed some more tweaking before leaving to factory and rare's hate for jump option pisses me off they think people just gonna be bunnyhoping you can prevent that it all depends how you program the jumping.

the maps in perfect dark zero though would of rocked so much better with a jump than the stupid ass roll they added inplace of a jump.

Perfect dark zero actually is a quality xbox360 exclusive the models could of used some more work and freelooking accuracy could of been tweaked some more, rare knows that's up though including aim assist off option pointing at you bungie learn something.

but their hate for games with a jump piss me off, rolling is so much more fake than a jump, plus it's more useless, the levels on perfect dark zero would of played better with a jump, they almost designed for jumping.

That's the thing. Maybe Hardcore's won't dig it, but the Average Joe's that want GTA, and the Mom's want their kids to be able to play Rockband, and the guy at the counter says it's better on 360, or it's only on 360...even if it's only for a short while.

Meanwhile, Sony just put out Killzone 2(It's obviously being recognized as a fantastic game), but will it sell as many PS3's as M$'s strategy? That's the question.

Sony is spending a lot to produce these games, and M$ could be spending less... to achieve the same or better results than Sony.

And you can bet both companies are looking at the data.

If you think we're seeing MAG this year you're incorrect. God of War 3 is confirmed for 2010 and same with GT5 so why include them? Meh, anyways, from that list it looks like PS3 has the better lineup, but at the same time it looks like the best of the best this year will be multiplatform (Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Resi Evil 5, and so on...).death919

A word to the wise. Lems, Huxley will never see the light of day on the 360. The 360 development has essentially been cancelled, and its development is already grinding slowly in general. Damn though perfect dark zero does have some nice multiplayer maps, a damn shame there's no jump option because you could of moved around the levels alot faster/better and added more depth to attacks and stuff, maps would of worked perfect with a jump i hate being glued to the ground, they could patch a jump, but they aint gonna do it sorry asses.

Okay, there was this massive GOW3 thread with links flying back and forth, and the lastest link had pointed to a 2009 release.

However, even that was a probable, so where's this confirmation. The best anyone can come up with is "Most Likely" and "Probable".

Don't get me wrong, I can see it coming out in 2010, but my point is how does anyone know, the devs still don't know (or they know but can't say)

We do know for certain that like all companies, Sony will provide info at E3.

EDIT : I just got your link, here's the thing, that's HipHopGamers connection to a Gamestop Email, not Sony.

Gamestop guesses at release dates if they have too, they are in the Reservation business. It's important for their customers to have some sort of date, if any.

However, a true Confirmation would be from the Director, the Developers, or Sony.

I'd love to be able and play all those titles (for both PS3 & 360) this year.... hopefully we'll soon hear from Rare announceKiller Instinct 3 :P

I still have my doubts on PS3exclusives like MAG, GT5 & GOW3 being released this year... but if at least we get Uncharted2, Heavy Rain, Infamous, Team Ico's & Insomniacsnext projects its already good enough for me..

Naw, that's cool dawg. My point was the actual use of the word "Confirmation". I believe it may come in 2010, but I can't Confirm it. Our estimates and what we know POINT toGOW3 being done BY March 2010, but we just don't have that LOCK, ya know?

There are so many games coming out, it's fine either way, but I just want to know for sure. :)
