Update! 5 PS4 system reviews: Judge for yourself

Yeah but 1080p at what cost? CoD Ghosts runs at a solid 60 fps on the X1, while its PS4 version has constant drops. Not only that but many have stated the resolution difference is barely noticeable unless compared side by side. BF4 on the Xbox One boasts much better textures in many scenes, and usually looks better overall, despite the PS4 version looking more crisp.

Understand this is the start of the generation, remember Kameo on 360? Compare that to GTA V. Soon all X1 games will be 1080 p, and at then the PS4 will really have nothing over it. Cheaper is a perspective, I think the X1 offers better value with a Kinect+Microsoft Azure Servers

We should always be Judging for ourselves.I will never understand why people would be turned away because of one persons opinion.We all know the PS4 launch is not perfect,the only people that will think otherwise are either blind or hardcore fanboys.Plus with the condition of SW these past couple of years.I don't think most users would understand.

PS2 had a sh!t launch. One of the worst launches I have ever experienced. That console ended up being the greatest of all time.

PS fan and won't be getting a xbox but ill admit.

XBOX= Better Looking Design, Better Launch exclusives, Better Controller, Better UI, Better Features, Looks more finished.

PS4 = Better graphic, Stronger Hardware.

And launched with crap titles and has nothing amazing on the horizon either. Either don't buy, or don't buy *for now*.

Its so silly to judge a console at launch. Its just never indicative of the product in a couple yearr time.

@Joedgabe: He's an idiot. Innovation is an improvement on an already existing idea which all of the platforms are doing. The question is how much of an improvement are we dealing with.

The worlds and AI on PS4 titles will dwarf what the XBone will be able to achieve. While the Kinect has great specs, it remains to be seen how well these abilities will be integrated into actual games as a good overall experience and not just a forced gimmick.

Sounds like the same tune from the PS3 launch.....just wait, we will have good games soon. In the mean while xbox players are gaming away.

judge it by the multiplats, Exclusives are usually garbage.. Thats why i have no problem with PC only... Ps4 comes in second for multiplat gaming.So if i was forced to get a console i'd go ps4. X Bone might look good now, but thats only for the short sighted. They are going to be 720p for this entire generation with struggling fps

Yeah, they usually aren't. We're all taking a chance here by getting them early. This is my first launch Playstation. The first 3 I didn't get until a year or more after launch. I've gotten all XBox at launch. I guess I better get insurance on both of these new systems. At least 1 years worth.

We have a fanboy who haven't read any of the software or hardware reviews yet. lol!! Cheaper is about all the PS4 is for now.

?? I never said anything about the X1 being better than it's counterpart. Because honestly, both suck in comparison to my Radeon. I'm not buying a next-gen console because at this moment both have problems. They probably will be fixed in the future, but until then, enjoy your "Premium" online services, "Dedicated" servers, and "1080p" games. I'mma go play some DotA.

Lack of Big Hit launch doesn't make it less of a console. It is amazing and just needs more games.

I play Ghosts on my PS4. There are no drops at all. It's amazingly fast and gorgeous! The PS4 has a 150% more powerful GPU and better RAM, that's how it achieves better resolution and graphics than X1. BF4 is no exception and looks beautiful and runs fast as well. All games do on PS4 because of the better hardware.

Please explain how the X1 33 % less GPU and weaker RAM could do games better?! You lems like Xbox and that makes you ignore the facts.

I love how people are bragging about how "my console has better games at launch" as far as I can tell they all suck unless you are some racing fanatic and have to have Forza. Buying a new console for the couple of crappy launch titles is pure stupidity. You need to look and see what they have coming down the pipe.

You have a PS4, obviously you are going to defend your purchase and I don't blame you at all. The PS4 does have a more powerful GPU, but its not always raw power that makes something look good. Its also about optimization and how the console is using the power. The PS4 may have a 50% better GPU but when compared against all other available GPU's on a chart you will see that the Xbox One and PS4 are actually quite close, and will eventually produce the exact same graphics quality.

I have also played Ghosts on a PS4 at a friends house and the drops do exist, just not frequently. As for BF4 you can look up image comparisons online, certain areas in the PS4 version lack detail.

Why is the iPhone one of the best benchmarking phones even when other phones have had more raw power? Its all about how its used.

Also you cows need to stop calling everyone a lem (though cows have also called me a hermit). My brother will be picking up a PS4 shortly and I am getting an X1. I also have a gaming PC, I play all consoles. I don't ignore facts, you just boast them to make you feel better about your purchase.

I am gonna wait about a year and a half before I decide to splash the cash to get one but it is the console I would pick over the other 2. Sonys PS3 took time to pick up in terms of high quality games the PS4 will get there eventually.
