Steamspy is actually quite close to being accurate.

Cities Skylines is at 970k, with a margin of 30k. And just today they announced 1 million, so, yeah

Wow, and this is Steam only! I mean GMG had some special deals, in my country physical was cheaper than Steam and so on. R* will have all the money at the end of this gen.

Frankly I'd be more surprised if it didn't pass 1 million, considering how long it's been top seller on steam ever since pre-orders were available.

I almost bought it last night....but I bought Dying Light instead. I will wait for a price drop on this 2 year old game that I already beat.

No wonder consoles can never keep their exclusives.

Anyways, I'm glad the best version is gettin some good sales. Hopefully this means even more of those near extinct species (console exclusives) will come to PC.

I'm sure the numbers will get even bigger when the Steam Summer sale comes around, I already got enough games, I'll wait for the might summer sale on this one.

Yup. Same here, we are close to summer anyways. The sale might be as low as 43$ so don't expect too much, but its something.

45 mil shipped over 4 systems and 1 year vs 1 mil sold and 10 mil pirated (your figures :P ) in 1 day. PC wins again!

10 million over PS4/X1. Lets see how well PC does. :D I'll post torrent numbers later this week. :D

I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be more than 10k so far right now. Some guys have insane internet speed after all.

Some people are seriously butthurt here. I don't understand people's obsession with sales, like it is going to enhance their experience somehow. There are a lot of PC only franchises that were and still are more profitable than any console exclusive franchise. GTA franchise is one of the best sellers and it's not even exclusive and its sales on every platform ever are over 185 million (GTA V sales on 4 platforms included). Sims franchise on PC alone has sold over 150 million (Sims 4 sales are not included).

If you ignore sales and just look at money then no game is more profitable than World of Warcraft. And last time when I checked those numbers didn't cure diseases or brought happiness or ended unemployment etc. GTA V is best on PC and a lot of people even with consoles waited to get this version. Get over it.

Glad people enjoy it but I feel like Rockstar should have supported mods

I'm starting to think GTA V won't be able to be topped by rockstar.

The funny thing is, that torrent doesn't even have a crack yet and it's just ISO setup (can't be played until someone comes up with a crack). Not to mention, Console versions were pirated and there were videos of people playing the game, even BEFORE the official release. And then there is whole used game market that some people are so proud of.

All these excuses and PC still gets best version. At least it's released on PC. Planetside 2 for PS4 doesn't even have a release date yet and when it comes out, it'll be dumbed down version. Devs said, PS4's CPU is having trouble, handling a lot of players on screen at once.
