Update:China is #2 country for GTA V PC sales(Valve Success)

I bought it for 360 a year and half ago. I'll wait for it to come with all DLC and base game for $10 before I buy it on PC. :D

pirates may won't get their hand on GTA V any time soon , R* using a barrier like denuvo drm which makes GTA harder to get cracked ... this could raise the sale

.. With how peer sharing works I don't see GTAV being very successfully pirated due to the simple fact of just how large that game is.. 60 gigs is fucking massive download in which it may not even work once you download it, or it may have malware..

I talked with a guy who has a game on Steam, and he says those "owners" number estimates from SteamSpy are very close to reality. So, I guess this is pretty good.

At least PC gets the games. Console just ends up fighting for 2nd place at MC/GS.

Good to hear. I was holding off to find out about how well it ran but couldn't resist the opportunity to play it for the first time, so bought it the other day on Steam. My brief experience so far is that it's not quite as optimised as Rockstar claimed, but it runs far better than the console versions and looks incredible at times. The FPS mode is brilliant and I love the fact that you can change the settings so the driving is still 3rd person - it makes it the first GTA game I can happily play completely with a controller and a feature I hope they always implement from now on. I found the game too easy with the standard keyboard, mouse config in FPS mode but the Xbox 360 controller is perfect for it.

I would urge all PC owners to just buy this game if it appeals to you and please don't pirate it. I payed a measly £40 out of my hard-earned wages, it runs extremely well and has such a huge amount of content that it's absolutely worth the money if you're a truly passionate gamer. It may have been heavily delayed but they really put the effort in this time and I genuinely believe that, with the increasing popularity of PC gaming, good sales figures for this will go a long way to ensuring that the worlds best developers, such as Rockstar, take the platform more seriously.

I think GMG has always have 25% discounts. But it's not Steam Version, it's the Social Club Version.

I honestly don't understand people moaning about the cost. The highest price is £40 but there's such a large amount of content in the game that the going price seems entirely reasonable.

The cheapest I've seen it is $46.99 on cdkeys and that ain't exactly "PC cheap" either my friend.

@OhSnapitz: The technique is, you wait for a winter/summer sale. Games has up to -95% off. I bought Max Payne 3, Darksiders Franchise Pack and Tomb Raider GOTY at the price of less than 5 USD each.

And Steam, and other website such as Humble, has flash/daily/weekly/monthly sale as well.

Sometimes sale price bug occurs as well which Steam honors. Unless the said bug reaches 100% or more. And actually, that bug was previously honored as well but they fixed those 100%+ sale price bug.

And if GTA 5 reaches more than 75%+ off, that's the only time I'll buy it.

Scroll down, on the right. You can see Steam, amazon, gog, etc. All of those are legit. Others like G2A aren't. However, i've bought tons of keys from them and never had an issue.

The problem is that the keys might have issues and cause problems with Steam/origin/uplay, so if you don't want to risk it, use the official shops

@TheFadeForever: The reason why Chinese version had the 2nd most bought is because, not only it costs one half of the price of the US version it also WAS ROW.

I was planning to pre-order/buy it last January using that 30USD price but I kinda felt it will be dropped to 5USD too like Max Payne 3 and the rest of Rockstar games.
