Looks like Dota 2 is getting the free-to-play, microtransaction funded treatment. I like that valve is doing stuff like this, they're cool guys, I'd party with them if I was a bigwig.

Given their experiments with TF2 and the success of LoL is anyone really surprised?

They aren't selling heroes which is something that LOL shouldn't be doing.

Despite the negativity I show towards LA Noire, I'd say it's definitely worth playing unless you hate bad endings.

It was supposed to be a $50 title. It was confirmed a few weeks ago that it's gonna be F2P with microtransactions.

I have 100 hours into the beta. It's my first MOBA game and wow, it's stupidly addicting.

Quite a good DOTA player here.

I am not saying that I am pro or gosu, but I am good.

So long as the stats remain largely unaltered in DOTA 2, I can keep up with you.

I wouldn't mind, but I'm by no means a good/pro at it. I mostly play Drow and Lycan. Before I stopped playing I was doing pretty good with Brewmaster.

I hope it gets some sort of short/speed match option. Games can easily last an hour and too lose after that is very frustrating.

Another game to play on my macbook

The UI in DoTA greatly irritates me, but it is still a damn fun game. I still prefer LoL and that will still receive most of my attention, but DoTA is an awesome alternative whenI get bored of LoL on occasion.

The Heroes available for play are incredible. So much detail and intricacies to each Hero and his/her/its playstyle.

Also, dialogue between character in game is awesome.

The game is better than LoL but requires some thought to play which may turn off some people.

....so because it would make no money they make it f2p *which is the future of all pc games or make them on facebook* so that means valve loves us?
