I'm sorry to say this, but this is not surprising news at all. I've been following all the console companies for a long time, and this isn't surprising, and I saw it coming.
We'll see how Remedy's next game turns out, since they take 5+ years to make games (New IP's + New Engines), I guess we should see them surface again in 2015. Maybe they better make the next game multiplatform, or at least not cut of the PC last second.
A large majority of REMEDY fans are PC users, and they got cut off from buying this game last minute. I know it was just a way to help sell more 360's, but that plan backfired as it resulted in Alan Wake's low sales.
Good game, I have it, it's a shame.
EDIT : Obviously, I'm talking about their next gen game, if they use the Alan Wake engine and assets, they obviously could make a sequel faster, as they said in the article. This is the 3rd time I've seen this article in SW, so I assumed you guys knew that, but it was my mistake assuming this is an old article. it's new to some of you.
Max Payne took over 5 years, but they cooked out a sequel sooner. They claimed the same for Alan Wake 2, if they were allowed too. However, in light of this news, it doesn't appear they are going to be allowed to make an ALAN Wake 2, so the "5+" years I'm talking about would be a NEW IP, on a next generation machine. I thought it was obvious, but my mistake, as it's not so obvious for some.
