you should thank chutebox for reminding me with his awesome sig...great ep BTW.You do realize the game was ALWAYS going to be on the 360 right?Next time don't steal from the PC and then maybe port it to consoles. MS has a lot to learn.

[QUOTE="Mestitia"]You do realize the game was ALWAYS going to be on the 360 right? I very much doubt that, when they first showed it at E3 it was PC exclusive fo sure.Next time don't steal from the PC and then maybe port it to consoles. MS has a lot to learn.

Whoa whoa whoa. But those games probably made the sales when they were 60 dollars. :P[QUOTE="Animal-Mother"][QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]
True you disproved my Opinion but Now you're comparing a Game that's $60 to Games that are $20-$30. Of course the consumer will only pay less.
LegatoSkyheart
Well we're obviously not on the Same Page here. Think about this Gears of War 1 and 2 and Halo 3 were in like 2006-2008 We're in 2010 where some people are a bit cautious of their Money.
Ahh ok. Understood then.I also think releasing it on the same day as Red dead didn't help[QUOTE="wolverine4262"][QUOTE="Mestitia"]You do realize the game was ALWAYS going to be on the 360 right? Because I saw a trailer for it on an Xbox original demo disc promoting next gen games.Next time don't steal from the PC and then maybe port it to consoles. MS has a lot to learn.

I'm surprised it took so long for this news to surface here.
I posted it in the "Aaron Greenburg: Lots more exclusives" thread to highlight the irony...

Rockstar is making that...:|AWSOME news, hehehe... Come on, Remedy, give me MAX PAYNE 3.....

No,I believe the first time we´ve heard of AW was as a PC exclusive, then the console versions were anounced and then much later it was anounced to be a 360 exclusive.
Make it a shooter and name rename it Halo Wake :PkuraimenUNSC marines fighting Covenant with flashlights and flares. That sounds smart.
*insert facepalm*
I thought Alan Wake was pretty average. I played through it on Hard and had to force myself to finish it. I have a laundry-list of complaints about this game which mainly involve the boring combat-system and obnoxious (while rather easy) AI. The story-line was just a garbled mess of cliche rip-offs and heavy-handed drivel. I honestly don't get what all the hub-bub is about; I would prefer almost any mediocre mystery novel to playing through Alan Wake again. Just my two-cents, but I would rather see Remedy focus on Max Payne 3 instead of an AW sequel.

Remedy isn't making MP3. Also, you might have a point...if you hooked up your account to Raptr so we can see.I thought Alan Wake was pretty average. It says might and it will come don't worry. It will sell about 2.5M - 3M and MS will give the green light.
1- Rockstar is making that bastard child for you 2- WHy? Max Payne 2 provided closure for the series. There is no real reason to add a sequel when the first 2 games book ended everything in such a perfect way.AWSOME news, hehehe... Come on, Remedy, give me MAX PAYNE 3.....

Ah. I didn't know they weren't making Max Payne 3. Either way, it doesn't change my opinion of Alan Wake.

Its not because its on a console. Its because it didnt get a single TV ad and came out the same day as RDR.
That too,but do you remember when it was a PC game it was supposed to be an open world game? Then it migrated to the 360 and they started the whole development almost from the beggining, that´s why the game took so much time to come out.(one of the reasons, not the only one of course)
AW is a good game, but it could have been great.

No, the open world idea was only in development for around 6 months, before they realised it wouldn't work with the tight narrative, that they wanted to focus on. And having played it, I'm glad it's not open world - the narrative flows perfectly. For one there was poor advertisment, MS did nothing to premote this game at all. I mean was there even a commercial on tv for it? The other thing that hurt it which other people eluded to is the fact the RDR came out on the same day and I saw that on tv for like 3 weeks! This is a great game I think it will ultimately sell well down the road, but I don't think it will at MS's pace. I mean what gets me is they probably won't pick up the sequel but they will advertise the hell out of a medocre game such as crackdown.

I mean what were you going to do with Alan? Drive around and look at mountains during the day time, and then at night time get ripped to heck by the darkness while roaming. It didn't make sense to have it an open world. Maybe they had different ideas at first, but they themselves realized that at the end of the day it just didn't make much sense to have it that way.I really want an Alan Wake sequel, specially considering how the ending leaves you with a ton of doubts. I truly hope MS makes it happen.ForsakenWickedDLC next month... BTW, did anyone else notice how MS had a tv spot for the Halo Reach beta just before Alan Wake came out? WTF?!?!?! Halo doesnt need ANY advertising, let alone a beta!!!

I honestly don't have any interest in this game. Make stuff thats more awesome, like Red Dead.
They should have called it Alien Wake, with no flashlight and open world and allround be more interesting and I would have bought it maybe. Pretty much be a completely different game, lol
Ok I know it has been said before but I'm going to repeat it. Why the hell didn't you actually back the game and advertise it Microsoft? Someone in Redmond really needs to be beat for this.
I'm beginning to hope MS doesn't publish the 2nd game and Remedy pulls a Bungie and goes to EA or Activision to get it published.
