No, even if hardware gets cheaper to make, they still have to make a profit so a price drop this year is out of the question. The PS2 didnt see its first price drop untill 2 years after its release and if The 360 wants to duplicate PS2s success then it is maditory that it sheds $100 in the fall of its 2nd year anniversary.

If they announce a 80gig version that would be the most stupid crap ever, really anyone can go and buy a bigger harddrive so why in the world would they go and offer a different SKU that only has 20 gigs more space for lets say 50 bucks more....but yea i believe they will drop the price this year, they need to do something to get the ball rolling, its really making my decision really hard should i wait for the price drop which could end up not happening or buy one this summer and get it over with.
