Last I recall, most online games like fighters, racers and sports titles are hosted on somebody else's machine...not on a server. If I'm wrong about this, then please correct me. But I specifically remember all the lemming saying that XBL (before it came out) was worth the money because every game had a dedicated server. But then it came out that wasn't the case and if you hosted a game then people were just connecting to your console. SO then they started saying it was worth the money because of friend matching and other features. I'm pretty sure that only MMORPGs use expensive dedicated servers to play online.ZIMdoom

Only the close-minded or plain fanatical people would remain stuck up on their point of views for just the sake of keep on supporting what they once said, even if they were wrong.

Technically I also side with the people who say SEGA prefers XBL. I just think it's because SEGA is too useless and lazy to do online themselves. XBL is perfect because MS worries about the service and SEGA can just focus on pumping out their next butchering or selling-out of a childhood memory.

To the cows posting in this topic with no knowledge of what was said pre-VF being announced for 360:

1. Not possible on 360, its hardware couldn't cope.

2. 360 controller was useless for game and Sega didn't want to design for it.

3. VF series was the greatest fighting game, and this incarnation would be the best fighter ever.

4. Online wasn't possible as VF so advanced the reaction time was 0.00000001 of a second (or some other silly figure pulled out of the air) and so lag meant it wasn't feasible.

5. VF would be a HUGE system seller both in US and Japan. (Later this was damaged controlled to Japanese fans played it in arcade and so didn't buy it.)

I've probably forgotten some so feel free to add.

I'm not a giant fan of fighting games but the new additions found in the 360 version have me interested.

Dead or Alive Ultimate and Dead or Alive 4 play pretty well. Although its not exactly the same and some strategies are unsafe to use online its good and its playable. Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded is good too. These games aren't exactly the arcade versions though. More like enhanced ports.
