VF5 vs DOA...the winner is DOA4 by a long shot.

VF5 is a lot faster than VF4, but your skill depends on how fast you move and the flow of the match. I know scrubs in tekken complain about it being slow because they dont know how to sidestep cancel. I actually think tekken is as fast as DOA if not, a little bit slower.

Tekken is nothing. Just forget it exists. VF5 is like playing tic tac toe over and over again. It gets stale in no time. DOA is fun.

DOA4 came out a year ago the standards have gotten much higher since then.

Its a great fighting game but 2 areas have evoloved very quickly in which it got rated.  Graphcis and Sound especially.  Coming form someone who owns both if DOA4 wsa released now it would get like a 7 or 8 in graphics as next gen standards have been raised significantly since the 360 first year.

I also just played DOA for the first time and I have to say that what Isaid about it before was wrong. A lot of PS fans who don't know anything about this game are in fo a shock. It's 100 times better the VF5 imo. CarlosPontinas

DOA is still the fastest of them all but the main point was that VF5 is at a much faster pace than VF4.

By score, yes DOA4 wins. By technical merit, VF5 wins. So which would you prefer as a purchase? Based on a score or technical gameplay? Oh, and btw. Tekken: DR will outscore these two games next week. So much for next gen. :lol: Tekken > all.chrismunx

No, it's an opinion. The only thing DOA4 has going for it is breast physics & pretty graphics. Beyond that, it's a button-masher's wet dream with a busted counter system & no real depth to speak of. VF5 is the complete package; gameplay, graphics & depth. DOA4 is just a breast physics simulator & shouldn't be taken seriously as a fighter.

Wow.  Just because a game has good players doesn't mean it ISN'T still a button masher.  Why do people claim:  "If a button masher plays a good player, then he will get destroyed."  That is so flawed.  Most games have some kind of skill built into it, and if someone is amazing at the game doesn't mean that the game isn't severely flawed. one of my favorite online games fight night round 3 is considered severely broken and has many button mashing techniques but if you ever just came online for the first time I guarantee I would end the fight inside of 1 round.  period.

Regarding VF5 and DOA4 (which I have both) VF5 is a better game if you like competition.  period.  I am not talking "fun" etc because everyone's definition of fun is different. But VF5 is very precise. DOA is broken for more reasons than I know about to intelligently talk about.  However I do know that the damage system is BS.  The amount of damage you take from falling off a cliff or getting hit by a running animal or car is too much.  It takes some of the competition away.  Lee is a button mashers dream and you can do pretty well with that.  Even the strategy guide says that almsot verbatim. 

 So can the OP like DOA4 better and think its a better game?  Yah.  Can he argue it is has a better fighting engine and offer a more competitive and balanced experience?  no.  The fighting community disagrees based on facts.  It is  a precise game just like cs:1.6 is.  You can argue halo2 is the more competitive game all you want; but it isn't reality.
