VG247-PS3to get ingame chat in Oct. firmwire 3.10

A Source VG247 said today that Sony has informed developers of plans to incorporate cross-title voice chat in PS3 play by the end of October.

The feature will be added in Firmware update 3.10, we were told.

Cross-title chat is consistently one of the most asked-for features on PS3 – looks like Sony's ready to deliver.

About time! It's great news though. However i think PSN users need to thank XBL for this and alot of there features. It's because of XBL, that the PSN got alot of things. Not dissing PSN just shows that competition is a good thing not a bad thing, and maybe instead of fanboys fighting all the time we should let the gaming companies fight and than we'll rake in the rewards. I guess that's to much to ask though.

On the downside, people need more mics, seriously, sony should bundle it with the next big shooter or racer, mag and gt5 for example. I'm serious, or else it will go to hell. :S

Meh im not paying for anything so it doesint bug me to much. I have experianced live for 2years and some months and if we were talking about psn launch against live then yea I wouls say live kills it. Psn however has gotten much much better. Live is still better but by just a bit. All I need from sony is cross/party chat voice and I would like insint invite to be in the PSN itself not in the games. THen I wouldint care about live any more.

I personally don't know why so many people want this feature. Why would you need to communicate with someone in game if they aren't playing the same game as you? I will never use this feature. If you want to just have a conversation, use a phone.

I mean what els can they really add to make online work better. I dont care for stuff like netflxi or face book or watever other social thing I can do on my PC. Live online is great it has the cross game chat voice and party and instint invite. All I care about when I play online is having a good experiance and easy comunication. Thats why PSN does need cross game chat and party chat voice. To me live will always be a bit better then psn cause of it. Just not 50 bucks worth to me. I still get a great experiance with PSN I jsut want those dang features.
