Not what comes to mind first. Usually, when it deals with a reveal, something unexpected would be less seen as the graphics, but more the information in the reveal. This could mean a new IP from company you wouldn't expect, or a new game in a franchise you wouldn't expect.

I'll take an educated guess at what the game is: The Last of Us developed by Guerrilla Games published by Sony. Is a post-apocalyptic (due to some sort of virus) first person shooter. Possible zombies.

If I recall, wasn't UC3 announced to be shown at the VGAs last year as a world premiere trailer because sites like kotaku and ign posted it up there, so did Spike TV.
