You also said "don't watch the news then much do ya" which seemed to imply that on the news there was a clear indication of violence being caused by videogames. I should hope that's not the case and I hope I misinterpreted that.Brownesque
I've seen video game related violence on the news before, but I'm not sure if it was the cause however.

In the same way they used to say "listened to Black Sabbath" and all that nonsense? It's two things: 1) catering to or speaking from the hard conservative demographic that has always been terrified of rock and roll and shenanigans 2) easy publicity I refuse to pin the blame on games when their mere mention in relation to a crime is an indication to me of terrible journalism.the song "Sympathy for the Devil" by The Rolling Stones pretty much sums up violence..and how stuff like "videogames" isnt the cause of it
No. Violent people are violent by nature. They are messed up way before they get their hands on a violent video game.
Video games are an easy scape goat, though.

Playing too many video games can lead to pissed off kids who feel an uncontrollable urge to debate and analyze videogames vigorously on a forum... which can turn into anger, and then violence.

You know come to think of it the image of a boy running around with a lethal weapon in a world that see's this as acceptable maybe isn't sending the right message :| :P
