Videogaming is maturing with more platforms than ever and the emergence of celebrity developers, said the head of the industry's key creative event.

Jamil Moledina, director of the Game Developers' Conference, said the walls between gaming areas were coming down.

Now it just needs to mature into the realm of being considered an open-slate medium like books, tv, movies etc. instead of just a toy.

I think plots to videogames are still in thier early state. But, with games like half life and halo, plots are ever getting better.

It is certainly going the way I want it to. I believe it is bigger than the film industry now, which can only mean that people will pump more money into it.

I did however like being in the minority of those who prefered gaming to all else.

The media stereotypes video games as a little kid thing, even though most gamers are in their 20's and teens. Its just like movies, or TV except better.
