How is making games not an art? :|
Hell the name of positions even insinuate it's art. Art director, composers, individual artist positions, writers etc. all are artistic in concept.
And I like how people are cherry picking what art is based on their subjectivity. That's not what defines art, what you think is good enough.

Yeah, I know, you have to read "Voltaire for leisure" to truly grasp the concept of "high art". God if that isn't the most elitist thing I've ever read, I don't know what is. I think PhoebusFlows should take a closer look at that Calvin and Hobbes strip I pasted that sarcastically mocked the concept of "high" and "low" art. I'd say Bill Watterson has a much stronger grasp of art in general than Roger Ebert, being that he's an actual artist, and Ebert... is not.
Watterson's belief:
"Furthermore, he opined that art should not be judged by the medium for which it is created (i.e. that there is no"high art" or "low art", just art."
Who's opinion is to be taking more at face value when discussing art, the creator/writer/inkist/colorist of the classic Calvin and Hobbes comic, or a popular film critic?
