It's a PS3 port to the 360, it's not going to be quite as good but you should still be able to enjoy it.
Well the 360 is using Version 3 of the game, compared to the PS3 game's Version 2 and the arcade's Version 1. If anything, it will be better unless the engine isn't as optimised as it could be.[QUOTE="Sgt_Hale"][QUOTE="turgore"][QUOTE="KeyWii"]I just care about the numerical score. It got a 9.1-Spock-

No 360 is using Version C which is more refined and has new combos, but each version has its own pros and cons, i think they might do some more character balancing and combo analysing. Which means timing and power of chracter might change. It doesn't mean its better, just that they've changed it to suit the arcade players more. Visually there is porbably no way that the 360 version will look as good as PS3, considering it coming out only 4 months after with about a 1 year less dev time. Physics and frame-rate and a.i still has to be fully implemented on the 360.[QUOTE="-Spock-"][QUOTE="Sgt_Hale"][QUOTE="turgore"][QUOTE="KeyWii"]I just care about the numerical score. I'm not buying it simply because of the lack of game modes and online play. I don't have many friends or family that would play the game with me much so it would be a waste of 65 dollars on my part. I'll just rent it or wait until it hits the bargain bin.DaddyDC650Sucks to be you!:(

They said VF5 is the Best fighter Out.It lost points for not being Online. I don't care for this whole online craze with these review sites. They seem to pick and choose when it bothers them. The Wii Madden had no online but received the highest score. Online football is a better fit than online frame fighter. The way this game is designed and has been designed from the start is not applicable to online. Its all about the frames for this game and do you honestly think your internet connection can deliver 30-60 frames per second at a 100% rate. I seriously doubt it. I hope they don't review Solitare poorly because it has no online.A 9.1 nice, compared to DOA4 which received a 9.2.

[QUOTE="KeyWii"]I just care about the numerical score. It got a 9.1Skippyj9People are really dense... you just look at the score and don't care why the reviewer did or did not like the game... Their numerical score should be representative of the written or oral review, and vice versa. If it isn't, they're not doing their jobs.
Ok so get this scenario. Sega puts in Online play for VF5 and it is absolute garbage. Cocky reviewer who knows everything then scores the game lower based on the fact that online play is stinky and basically useless. Now Sega has a game that is reviewed poorly and it hurts sales. Sega knows this game better than any of the reviewers or people on this board. If they say that online play cant be done properly I respect that and I feel they should be able to deliver the vision they had for the game. Should bands have to put crappy radio friendly songs on CDs just to appease the masses and their record labels or should they be able to release material for the fans? I choose option 2.iwo4life

I can see a game like Oblivion or Dead Rising maybe not having online, but a fighting game with no online is just a rental or bargain bin material.Jack-ThompsonI suggest both of you get some friends. You know the kind that show up to your house. All of the greatest Fighters ever have had 0 online modes. Just because DOA4 and Capcom vs SNK 2 had online doesn't mean that the whole fighting genre is dead without it. If you knew 1 shred about how the fighting engine for games like Tekken or VF work you wouldn't even be complaining about no online. They don't work. I have had enough of this thread, it isn't like 1 person is going to reverse the strangle hold that xbot live has on you.

If a game isn't long like Oblivion and lacks online then it's not worth playing it, online gaming is the now and the future. Without online(and this comes from a ex-pc gamer) games get boring way too fast and are not worth 60 bucks.
At least the 360 version will have rumble which is a big part of console gaming.
P.s. Me and my friends enjoy playing over XBL and these are my offline friends, not to be confused with your Myspace buddies.
I didnt think i was a shallow gamer but i watched the review and found the character designs pathetic and boring. Then i heard the voices which made me cringe.
So based on looks and sound alone i will avoid this game. It just looks boring and has no style, imo of course.
[QUOTE="KeyWii"]I just care about the numerical score. It got a 9.1mskrft007why do you care about score so much if its better than all of the fighting games in the genre? it probably scored a 9.1 because of the lack of online. it does say VF5 is still king of the fighting games. if it had online, theres no question VF5 scores on gamerankings would be over 90%.
