This is for anyone picking up this game. PS3 has motion control but no online. 360 has online but no motion control.

Which one do you feel is more important motion control or online play?

...they look the same to me.

I don't see how anyone could justify motion over online, especially in a tennis game where online rankings add so much to the replay value.  I don't even see how motion could be used well in tennis game unless it's wii-style.

Agreed. Online is more important. I don't mind missing out on that too much though because I'm sure I'd be atrocious at this kind of game and just get abused constantly ;)

My friend's xbox 360 doesn't even have access to play online anymore. That being said I'd get the PS3 version because I don't have a 360. Don't like tennis a whole lot either way. VF5 ftw.

you know they have ranked games, where you can play with someone who's just as crappy at it as you are. What you do is you play the player matches and when you get real good at it you play ranked games, and destroy the noobs. Ranked games ftw.

were you once a sony fanboy? honest and humble Q. and yes the 360 is even better at running games in 1080p. but the ps3 has hdmi wich just looks much cleaner. so the result is games that are more detailed in texure's on 360 , but more cleaner and crisp looking games on ps3.

Online by a landslide. I've already read that using the sixaxis motion control with this game sucks. Multiplayer against anyone is the world is definitely the way to go.

im telling you, it will happen. dev's say all types of things. nintendo said people didnt want to play online just last gen. we now how that ended up. even sony said it was a second thought situation. now they have changed their stance also. all im saying is it will be that "extra" feature that will warrant the purchase of the game again. and once sony gets it's netwotk up and running im sure more games will be utilized for it. and even port for all, if you would.

xbox 360's ram is better suited for games. it lets dev's not only use the memory how they choose, but allocate it as much as they need for any one given task. faster ram, not better ram. ps3 has hdmi. it rocks. cell is for streaming video. it is not an intelligent cpu for a game console. cell is ment for a pc. strictly as a game cpu, it is a mistake. blu-ray. i like it. needs faster read speed's, other than that, im game. but your wrong in a couple area's.

[QUOTE="akuma303x"][QUOTE="KeyWii"][QUOTE="Nedemis"][QUOTE="advertise_this"]ps3 version also looks slightly better. but yah i'd say online too.

doubt it, both support 1080p, but the 360's hardware is better suited for games looking better. wonderful, wonderful RAM....:P

PS3's ram is faster than Xbox 360's. PS3 has HDMI. PS3 has Cell processor. PS3 has Blu-Ray. No way is the 360 hardware better for games, thats a bold faced lie.

xbox 360's ram is better suited for games. it lets dev's not only use the memory how they choose, but allocate it as much as they need for any one given task. faster ram, not better ram. ps3 has hdmi. it rocks. cell is for streaming video. it is not an intelligent cpu for a game console. cell is ment for a pc. strictly as a game cpu, it is a mistake. blu-ray. i like it. needs faster read speed's, other than that, im game. but your wrong in a couple area's.

More lies. Developers can allocate PS3's ram however they choose also. At least you acknowledge HDMI and Blu-Ray. You are clueless about the Cell (as usual) what kool-aid drinking website did you get that off of? Cell is excellent for physics and AI processing in Games. It can even do some graphical rendering of it's own.

I hate motion control on ps3 anyway. .GIMICK! If you want motion buy wii, if you want everthing else buy 360. I would take 360 rumble over ps3 motion anyday!

Multiplatform games scoring higher on the Xbox360 prove that cow wrong.

were you once a sony fanboy? honest and humble Q. and yes the 360 is even better at running games in 1080p. but the ps3 has hdmi wich just looks much cleaner. so the result is games that are more detailed in texure's on 360 , but more cleaner and crisp looking games on ps3.

But for those who don't have HDTVs it doesn't really matter u know...

still doesn't help them for gaming seeing how there's less RAM solely devoted to the GPU. The cell has been proven to be great for multimedia applications, but less powerful in terms of gaming. Accept the facts kid. The 360's CPU and GPU combined offer more potential to developers than the PS3's. Games like Gears of War could never be done on the PS3 (at least at the same level of detail as on the 360) regardless of how much of the RAM was applied to the game. There's something called a bottleneck, and the PS3 has plenty of those.

You can't refute what I said about PS3's ram. You said Cell was only good for video streaming. That is an abject lie. It excels at physics processing and AI processing in games.

Thats because the PS3 multi-plats are held to their own standard, not Xbox 360's.

so the standards of a steady framerate and HD textures don't apply to the PS3 now?

the ps3 had better start doing better. i just got the westinghouse lvm 37w3 1080p hdtv and i gotta tell you, my 360 looks much better at 1080p than my ps3. but both are equal at 720p. intresting isnt it.
