Except one is actually advanced compared to its competition and the other is, well, lol. Soon Vita is getting PSO2 and PSO2>all games released and soon to be released on wiiu combined.silversix_

Vita hasn't had a single real game worth buying the platform for in near a year and a half. Tons of hyped games and they are always bad. Wii U has been out for 6 months and is essentially in the same boat. Yet, you throw props at the Vita and Sony for essentially doing worse with it's game library with the Vita. Your comment reek of nothing but fanboy dribble. Just sad. How far do you have your head up Sony's arse? Can you see they're heart yet?

Better to have a mobile device fail than have a home console fail. TSHBO

Handhelds are still quite popular, so no. It's actually just as bad.

Handhelds are a joke. The only people who play them are Japanese people who ride on trains all day. If i'm bored and want to play a game on the go somewhere i'll play a free game on my phone.

No portables are very capable systems these days. Assumption, I am not japanese nor do i ride trains, and play handhelds. A decade ago I didn't like portables so improvements in tech can make a difference. If you want to game on your phone that is fine but I don't without proper controls

You're right, 3DS also have Monster Hunters 3DS and Shin Megami Tensei. Granted, you need a circle pad pro for MH, but still.

If you're using the WiiU + Vita combo as your main gaming devices you're either doing it wrong or you have a very sophisticated taste that transcends the mundane taste of the masses. ;) :P

How is what I said fanboyish?

Your 2 reasons were terrible. I mean too poor?

That's not being "fanboyish". Face it, there are a lot of kids who's fanboyism stem from being too broke to afford systems they don't have, so they develop unnatural relationships with the ones they do have. I might be a jerk to point that out, but it has nothing to do with fanboyism on my part. Quite the opposite, actually.

Vita has only sold around 5.5 million in like a year or two. That is terrible. The WiiU has sold 3.45 million in about 6 months. Both systems sales will start to pick up eventually.

They're both good systems that will have great games. The only reason one might think otherwise is a) too poor to own them b) too much of a blind fanboy to own them.

jhcho2

Normally when arguing about things like that, people use past tense, meaning that we come to a conclusion based on past experiences. You can't say that a system is worth getting because it WILL have great games. Once the said great games come out, then we'll decide.

I stand by the first sentence of what I said because, at least to me, both systems are good with a potential to be great. Not having ever owned a PSP, I can now experience those games on Vita, and then there are games I enjoy like P4G, Gravity Rush and LBPV. Wii U has games I like, such as MH3U, NSMBU, Nintendo Land and LCU, full Wii BC and I have a ton of Wii games I still play regularly.

As far as my second part of my comment, this is System Wars were you're supposed to say things to piss people off, it's the nature of the land.

By saying everyone should own them just because you wasted your money.

I dont feel like I wasted money on those purchases. Now spending $500 for PS4 and $500 for next Xbox would though.

Pointing out fanboyish behavior is not the same as making fanboy comments.

I can't wait until this game comes out. I have been looking for a good 3d platformer similar to Mario 64 and spyro like the old days. And this one is shaping up nicely! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hei47jxah4A&sns=em If only Nintendo would make a true sequel to Mario 64 instead of the linear galaxy games I would play my wii u some more.

They both have potential but they both lack content. What's up with that? Been waiting to pick up a Wii U and Vita but it's all show no go. With the next gen around the corner I think this holiday season I'm going to invest a lot of my time and money into it buying games, extra controllers and what not. But I am interested to seeing the if the ps vita is able to do remote play with the ps4. I think with that feature alone I will buy a vita. The Wii U on the other hand. I think they mention a mario game by the end of the year but it's a little too late.

Truvietplaya

Wii U is next gen.

I guess it sorta is. I dunno if it can hang with the other two system though but if it can offer something like what the 3ds has been doing than I think it will be successful.

The proper term should be next gen hardware, this comes from a sheep, but the Wii U is next gen, but it has current gen hardware.

I think it can do things graphically current gen consoles can't do.The console has yet to show these things anyway.

Yes, but I think it is closer to current gen, then next gen, but hopefully will get a better sense once Nintendo shows more games.

[QUOTE="LittleMac19"]Nah, Vita will be lucky to even make it into 2014. The Wii-U will eventually get it's inevitable flow of quality 1rst party titles like every gen while the Vita has no identity whatsoever. Like so many handhelds before it, the potential is there but Sony just doesn't know what to do with it. As for the Wii-U, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, for now.FlamesOfGrey
Nah, the Vita will be lasting the entire duration on this cycle and will get many great titles in the years to come just like the PSP did.

In Japan maybe, everywhere else? *laughs*

Japan is where 95% of handheld games are made so, what's your point? If you're talking about localization? The PSP has over 400 games that came outside of Japan so again, what's your point?

Not really a point, just an opinion, I believe the Vita will not do well anywhere except maybe Japan and even that is in question now that the biggest game that moved PSPs during it's later years is now on the 3DS. You say the Vita is going to go on and do PSP numbers in quality titles and sales I assume and I say, how? Poor global marketing by Sony and terrible sales when in direct comparison to the PSP during it's first year and no sales equals no longterm support unless you want to explain to me how a 5 million install base after a year on the market will lure more developers into making more games for this system because I'm not seeing a bright future here.
