PS Vita, obviously. The Wii U at least has a decent library. Most of the good games in the Vita's library are either re-releases/ports or only seem good because of the lack of actual good games on the system.
You could actually say the same for Wii-U library - it mostly relies on ports, or sequels. Why knock the Vita's "sequels" or console derived games, when the Wii-U's best games are Mario 3D World (derived from past Mario games, and from the 3DS game), Bayonetta 2 (sequel, and basically equal to a 360 game), and Mario Maker (which is basically throwback 16 bit game with level designer). Other than Splatoon, I'm reaching to think of a truly "original" Wii-U game, and I'm not sure Splatoon is all that briliant/original either.
Vita: 67 games rated AA or above on metacritic
Wii-U: 64 games rated at AA or above on metacritic
Crazily, the Vita actually has a more active release schedule than Wii-U - as well as an already better existing library by the numbers. Now despite the metacric numbers, I wouldn't say the Vita's library is actually better than Wii-U's. I would give the nod to Nintendo but it's not as big of a difference as Nintendo fanboys would think. Vita is a "deader" system, but it actually has a fuller release schedule.
IMO both of them have terrible libraries. Truly pathetic if compared to SNES or PS2, but also not really even close to PS3 or even (eventually) PS4/XB1.
