My view. I think Lair was the biggest flop. Being hyped AA and falling to 4.5 is just floptastic. Also Lair flopped all over the place. I know this is SW and only GS counts, But its not like R&C & ME that mostly did great on other sites. Thats my 2 cents. Whats yours?

I can't coun the amount of times people have attempting to put ME over Super Mario Galaxy, before it was released.

Suffice to say, those who did hype ME to that extent, should have custom made owange sigs, warning other users to play a game after it is released, before making some lofty claims.

Lair I mean the game scored a 4.5. Anyone that was here before Lair came out saw thread after thread about the game.

then uncharted should go into that list, ive seen a few cows hyping it as AAAA GOTY and best game of all times, it goes both ways you cant pick a small group to represent a whole, it dosent work that way.

well...not really i really thought that Mass Effect would be a 10 or at leat 9.5....the rest of the games i saw problems with before the reviews...but not with Mass Effect...

Gamespot just like f*cking with people the flopped TP amid massive sheep outcry. The cows have been faced with constant flops and they sought to restore the balance with a flop for the 360 :P

the way i see it ME and Metroid flopped the same hyped AAA got 8.5

Hs is a bigger flop cause it was hyped AAA but got a 7.5

All I know the PS3 had the most exclusive flops.

Lots of people predicted Lair would flop and had low expectations. They didn't predict a 4.5 flop, but still...

Everyone in their heart had to think that Mass Effect was one of the top contenders for game of the year or maybe game of the generation. It was the one game you could predict a 10 for and not be completely crazy. It looked like a lock for aspot as one of the greatest games of all time.The few people that did say it was gonna get below 9 looked like complete morons / fanboys at the time. Nobody saw this score coming (before other sites started posting reviews with some complaints, that is), even if it was just .5 away from AAA. Hell, 9.0 would have been a huge flop in my book too.

Lair doesn't compare. Besides rabid PS3 fans, most people said things along the lines of "looks repetitive", "gameplay looks boring" and "graphics doesn't equal a good game".

Lair...easy...not much else to say. It is one thing to flop review wise, but in general flop is the worst kind.

lair becasue it flop in every other gaming sites. the others ones most floped only in gs.

and for me i dont consider ME RCTOD and MP3C being a big flop... and only miss by 0.5. maybe a flop but hardy a big one

Thats the problem with system wars, anybody with basic math skills could tell that Lair is the biggest flop of the year(8.5-4.5=4;while ME 9.5-8.5=1) yet 35 people can't tell that. That's pretty sad.

lair is easily the biggest flop of the year. cows were hyping it AAA since the e3 2005 footage only to have the game flop at 4.5!!!! now that's a flop of biblical scale.

i just wonder what the biggest flop of 2008 will be...

Thats the problem with system wars, anybody with basic math skills could tell that Lair is the biggest flop of the year(8.5-4.5=4;while ME 9.5-8.5=1) yet 35 people can't tell that. That's pretty sad.
