Say it ain't so...
From now on, no cow gets to claim the PS3 has superior hardware. It is obvious that Sony has lied to us all. Wasn't the PS3 teh lead platform for GTA4???

I think you're missing the point.
Got a 10 who cares. Only fanboys will talk about it.

Dude the game still looks amazing. Some reviewers say it's slightly better looking than the 360 version. If not being 720p actually mattered it wouldn't of gotten a 10/10 here.
it's 630p (1120x630)
regardless PS3 media look better for me, the light and atmosphere is more real (maybe HDR vs X360 MDR, post-process...), i agree with global reviews feelings but more comparison screenshots would be good
it's interesting, it shown that number of pixel isn't enough to determine better visuals.Quaz51

The damage control is strong with cows. It's hardly relavent that they both got a 10. On a 0.5 scale that could literally mean that one version got a 9.8 and one got a 9.9
Really, I wouldn't expect ANY website to have a different score because of this slight difference in resolution because you probably can't really tell. HOWEVER, its the principle that counts... this is really unacceptable. Its soo funny how cows will just take anything Sony gives them.

Doing Engineering right now and worked alot with designing engineering applications such as games and other programs I can tell you that its all about how many people on system wars or in this world know nothing about graphics.
shows how much graphic or visuals really matter IMO.

Do we care about a lack of pixels? Well... I suppose PC gamers do... Remind me to commit suicide if I ever become a hermit. "It got a 10, BUT..." LOL ridiculous. Just play the friggan game. Worrying about "pixel count LOL" is almost as laughable as worrying about achievements.[QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"]10septicvirus

The PS3 is LITERALLY not strong enough to produce the same visuals at 720p. Does that register with you?

Sounds like you are damage controlling for this game being "better" on the PS3. It got a 10 for both consoles seriously who cares.

For those wanting to know which version looks better, the edge goes to the PS3. The textures and framerate are comparable, but the PS3 has far less pop-in. The 360 has richer colors, but the PS3 has better anti-aliasing making it look a little cleaner. Because GTA IV can preload onto the PS3 hard drive, the in-game loads are faster. Don't worry Xbox owners, the load times are rarely more than 30 seconds and don't occur very often. The slight visual edge goes to PS3, but the 360 is no slouch. Either version will do you proud.

Dude are you kidding me? From the majority of reviews that I have read they have given the PS3 the visual edge every time. It got a 10 which is quite frankly amazing so accept that as fact and know that you being the lemming only gets you the minutely inferior version visually.

And yet you could fix the problem yourself with a DVD cleaner, and the problem with RROD is still pretty bad and you have to send it in. Just saying.

True but if GS isn't going to go in depth with the visual differences and IGN, 1UP and Gamespy do then they should be used as references.

Haven't you noticed that Gamespot is overall the most inaccurate when it comes to reviewing? Go look at all the reviews from Gamespot, IGN, Gametrailers, etc. And then check out gamerankings.
