I think its because Warhead was an expansion and it may have been unfiar after Crysis took that spot. Besides, GeoW2 looks better than MGS4? Are you crazy?
Samox
Gears 2 does look better.
Yep same here. And i dont see what is so surprising. Most important sites considered Gears2 the best looking game of 08...at least on consoles

Is this the MGS4 I am playing right now that won best graphics for 2008? How did it beat Crysis Warhead let alone Gears 2. The graphics aren't bad but Crysis Warhead? Why did MGS4 win best graphics? That is absurd. I was expecting to be blow away by MGS4's graphics but it looks like junk.
Why did MGS4 win best graphics?akbar13
because warhead didn't deliver anything new just more boring jungles.

Really. You do know that Gears2 won many graphics awards aswell, right?
Damn...double post again...
You can delete posts. Got links for all these graphics awards it won?Sins of a Solar Empire released that same year, and that game is a technical behemoth at times. So no, even with Crysis Warhead out of the picture, it still wasn't the most technically proficient game that year. Far Cry 2 on PC is also an exceptional looking game, along with Assassin's Creed. Clear Sky also comes to mind which blows MGS4 out of the water.Other than Crysis, MGS4 deserved the award.

It's like people stop taking into account everything but textures, you have to actually play these games to see what the fuss is about, not just look at screens.Other than Crysis, MGS4 deserved the award.
