WTH? :shock:

I understand it might not be great...but 57,000 units? If true, do you guys understand how much money would have been lost on this project? :shock:

I can't even imagine the level of disappointment experienced on any level (devs, marketing team, artists, engineers, project leaders, Factor 5 owners, Sony) that would go with 57,000 units sold.

Unbelievable.

Seriously, you dont expect a bogus american game to sell well. Leisure Suit Larry, Street Shift, Godai barely sold any units.

You can't really expect a game with very poor gameplay to get many sells, but 57k is pretty sad.

its a crime that warhawk is arpound teh same amrker as lair.i think hs just sold badly because most peopel rented it knowing it was short.

Well look at this weekly Vg Charts http://vgchartz.com/aweekly.php

Folklore open at number 20 with only 28k

heavenly Sword already has falling to number 44 in th charts selling only a total of 222K. HS is another huge PS3 game.

PS3's highest ranked game is number 16 Fifa 33k sold but the PS2 and 360's version of Fifa are both ranked higher.

PS3 games just do not sell that well.

360 has 4 games in the top 10 and the Wii with 2 games and PS3 none

All costs included, very, very few games cost 30 million dollars. Cut that down to 250,000 copies, and I would probably agree with you.

$3 million is pocket change to big game developers. How much money did Bungie make on Halo 3 within the first 2 weeks? $300 million+? Besides, they spent alot more than 3,000,000 developing it - thus, it's a loss.

Average budget for a full-scale PS3 game is in the $10-15 million range, sometimes higher. And that's not including advertising costs. Further, $60 games are sold to retailers for $50. That extra $10 is how retailers make money off of new games. So it's more like $2,850,000, not counting in costs for manufacturing, shipping, and handling, which makes up a few dollars per unit sold. Long story short, this is essentially a financial kick-in-the-balls.
