Wait, was Lollipop Chainsaw from 7th gen consider a great game?

Cause as I understand it, it's getting a Remake by reports from: Gamespot news: Lollipop Chainsaw Remake Coming In 2023 and I don't remember the original was a sleeper hit. The original never made it to PC so if this remake comes to PC, I'll gladly play it as I never got around playing this game even though I heard James Gunn was involved with the script at the time. So was it good back from 7th gen?

I have the 360 version and enjoyed it very much. This remake is most definitely on my radar. Very good news indeed.

Its ok , not in the same league as top tier hack and slash. Hopefully the gameplay is improved in the remake.

They'll probably make Juliet overweight and give her green hair, so the games mote appealing to today's audience.

It was ok, a solid 7; but it changed for me forever the song "hey mickey".

Been waiting forever to hear about something related to it, it's one of my favourite games ever. Needless to say, I'm thrilled. If it doesn't have "Hey Mickey" in the soundtrack though, I'll be sad.

Game-wise, it was pretty bad. The game had nothing going for it, other than some personality that would no doubt be seen as super problematic by todays standards.

The best I can hope for is that edgy personality to be retained, so I can read some funny cope and seethe reviews, then eventually play the game when it's on sale or game pass or whatever, similar to Postal 4

I remember when this game out it was pretty popular but it seemed more like it had a cult-following status than anything mainstream.

A lot of hot cosplay of the main character, too.

I'd like to put in a formal request to someone with any hint of artistic ability to make a "Ghost Approved" sticker/picture.

Maybe write in latin around it "I like good games but I also hate most good games" like some government seal.

It was actually a pretty fun game.

People brush it off because of the campy, low budget look but it's more akin to those 80s teen "horror" movies that was filmed in a way to attract horny teens during the summer.

There's actually a ton of good writing and humor in the game that feels wasted on the lack of proper marketing and budget. The combat was surprisingly well done also, made by the same people who made No More Heroes

Kinda feels like a game Platinum would make to be honest, people would've eaten it up then.

For odd reasons, it does look like the kind of game that Platinum would make, but I am familiar with Grasshopper Manufacture. And hey, I enjoy those 80s horror films or rather the slashers films that is but shame I miss out on the original but will definitely get this remake.

It was a fun hack and slash game from Suda 51 (like No More Heroes) with an entertaining script from James Gunn (almost like a Harley Quinn game).

Its a fun game, used to hype the game up a lot cause I thought its an underappreciated game but apparently its the highest selling game by the studio then.

The game, like every other Suda51 game, is style over substance. It can be enjoyable but if you dont care about "pop rock quirky style" then the game isnt for you. Suda51 games require an... exquisite taste in order to be enjoyable. I lik'em because of the style alone but in no right mind would I say they're "good" games in the broad sense of the word
