Next gen, the 8th gen I think they're probably going to come first equal long with everyone else.
They are going to berry the competition, and be berried by the competition by the same amount.
The Wii U is most likely going to be in last place this generation. Software and hardware sales are abysmal so far.
It could be the highest selling next gen console, but I wont care if it doesn't have games I want to play.Ā It may sell a lot due to it's other features like being able to watch TV on it, or if Kinect 2.0 is a big hit again with the casual audience, but that's not something I am interested in.Ā I want to see new 1st party IP's from MS. I'm bored of Halo, and never liked Fable.Ā Forza is still great though.Ā
So far the PS4 sounds like it'll be the first (and possibly only) next gen console I own.Ā Honestly, I really don't know what MS can do to convince me to buy their next console after the way they handled the 360 for the past 3-4 years.
I hope the rumors aren't true for what direction MS will be taking with the next Xbox, does not sound like it would appeal to me, but I guess we'll find out soon.Ā I'll definitely be watching when they do finally announce it.

I'm like 100% with everything you said. The MS IPs are stale. Forza is really the only one I actually care about anymore.
so soo bad.
I predict that I know exactly what everybody is thinking at this very moment!! You are thinking I have no idea what you are thinking!
OOOoohhhh magic? lmao
We could start the Nostradamus jokes now... nobody? heh
He just retweeted what the firms analysis The firm is where Patcher works. In saying that I think the Nextbox does have a good shot at winning. The PS4 so far has nothing that interested me.[QUOTE="lx_theo"]

People with money put it where their mouth is where as cows on SW won't even buy the games they praise as the second coming :o Sony's in big trouble next gen with the lousy fan base they are only too happy to nurture, gimme, gimme teh core exclusives, no, no, not so I can buy & play them but rather so I can somehow brag about them in SW. :o
The console with widest cross section of interest wins the day and I predict MS will take an even bigger dump on Sony next gen than they did this gen. :P
I think catering for everyone is a terrible business strategy. In my business I only sell to people who are as hardcore as I am and absolutely refuse the money of anyone that isn't. Money isn't money unless it comes from people who I approve of and who enjoy exactly what I enjoy.
TV Tuner and Skype are killer app.............  :lol:hippiesantaThey are killer apps. how can they not be? for a TV device with a built in 3D camera and more functionality than any cable box ......
This, agreed. I expect a knock down, drag out fight between MS and Sony with no clear winner and both systems doing well. I'm going to buy the 720 cause I like MS games more, but I think Sony is making better decisions with the PS4. Its just not my cup of tea.It will be a close battle between Sony and MS. Will be fun to watch.

[QUOTE="SecretPolice"]Yea, who likes to play those pesky games on a gaming console. :P Whelp, even this current gen with the MS console offering 360 degrees of living room entertainment didn't seem to slow game sales and in fact the overwhelming evidence points to games sales being much higher on 360 the that PS3, ya know, that core, nuttin but saweet exclusives and still, 360 software trounced it - eh, remember you can always call it third place instead of last place if it makes ya feel better.People with money put it where their mouth is where as cows on SW won't even buy the games they praise as the second coming :o Sony's in big trouble next gen with the lousy fan base they are only too happy to nurture, gimme, gimme teh core exclusives, no, no, not so I can buy & play them but rather so I can somehow brag about them in SW. :o

Only thing that made sense.C'mon Heil, when talkin to me, leave your 5 alts at home and use your regular account. :o :PI think that the next generation consoles will mirror this gen's. XBOX will be more popular in the west, Playstion more popular worldwide.

Yea, thanks MS for letting 3rd party carry your machines, I'm just waiting to get my hands on all those superior multi plats..oh wait  I guess sales is something when you dont have games. :Pyou guys think is just that easy. You cater to the mass market and you make money... If it were that easy Nintendo wouldn't be having the issues that they are having right now with the Wii U. Because is not just about deciding that you're going casual or not but about if that product you make is gonna appeal to them. No matter how you want to see it at the end is still a gamble.
People already seen, own or played the Kinect so what makes you think that it (2.0) will be a success again? There are too many variables but to me Sony's doing all the right moves. They are mixing the social aspect with traditional gaming, and casual gaming/move/PS eye is on the side. Meanwhile I bet M$ are gonna do the same thing but instead of focusing on traditional gaming their focus will be: casual, social aspect and then the traditional on the side (mostly from 3rd party's and the sporadic Halo game).
MS is making a big mistake by catering to casuals. They are the least predictable, unlike the loyal, core gamers. Sony will teach MS a lesson.you guys think is just that easy. Half of ninty problems come from not advertising the WiiU and barely having any games to make people to purchase the console. Once they fix both of those problems the will start to make a ton of money.

Why does it matter that 3rd party games make up a big part of the MS line-up? They're still games? What in the world did MS do to you in your personal life that makes you hate them so, lol?
