Walmart.com is now selling used games online. So I guess they are taking trade ins too obviously....I just have not searched around enough for it on the site.

Anyway this is a great day to be a gamer as the prices on the games are some what reflective of gamestop or ebgames but as everyone knows Walmart is so soon to turn the tables on the competition that the game prices so should drop a lot quicker or people will be offered more money for their used games. Either way it benefits the consumer tremendously in this case.

This should force ebgames and gamestop to be more fair with trade ins and buying used games but I tell you what after the way they have done everyone for the past few years with this so called monopoly.....Its doubtful I will buy a used game or trade a game in to them unless its a real bargain.

See you in **** gamestop-ebgames

Awesome. I always buy my games and movies from Wal-mart. They are sooo freaking cheap; it's like fishing with dynamite, it's not even fair!!

Competition is always a good thing.

They hurt alot of businesses but in this case I don't mind they are doing me and everyone else a favor this time around. No one is a fan of gamestop or ebgames and if you are its only becuz you know someone that has a high level management position within those companies.

It's called capitalism.

Putting everybody out of business like the line you quoted suggests still isn't favourable, however. The consumer needs a competitive market, not a monopoly.

This is bad for game makers, since used games don't return revenue for them, although I do hate GameStop and EB for the crap prices they give, maybe Wal-Mart will change that (they do have low prices on everything).

Thats non-responsive to the question at hand. Where did you absorb such brain mush? Wal-Mart selling used games online is going to push others out of business how? By competing with Blockbuster, Amazon, GameStop, Play N Trade, etc? Do you know that is possible? Only if consumers choose to shop at Wal-Mart instead of the competition while the competition does not become competitive.

Ignorance of what?

Ignorance of not going to a store that offers cheaper prices on everything and taking advantage of the numerous quality good walmart has to offer. Your one of those that sees Walmart as being too dominate and refuses to shop there solely based on that reason alone thinking that their dominance will only continue to grow and there may never be competition like there once was before Walmart got really big.

Walmart will continue to grow and continue to dominate but they can only dominate the market for so long and gain so much presence in the market till they run into trouble with the law or the law limits Walmarts ability to continue to grow at the same rate it has been lately. Thats the thing is that there is capitalism but there is a limit to it and Walmart probably isn't too far away from hitting it.

So you might as well shop there anyway seeing as its inevitable that Walmart will eventually hit a wall with the law if they continue to grow like they do.

Yeah, but when you sell the game to GS or EB, you would be lucky to get back 1/3 of what you originally paid for it, only for them to sell it $3 cheaper than full price, and developers need that money to make great games. Granted, used games return tons of money for the stores (while new games only get them about $5 or so), but even then I absolutely abhor EB games and Gamestop for the terrible cash they give for your games.
