For me this was the best news of BlizzCon.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
because the way they talked about it implied that it hadnt even begun development yet...meaning that it will come out in like 2013 knowing Blizzard.cobrax75
Exaclty. Way too early to get excited....
[QUOTE="njean777"][QUOTE="mephisto_11"]i was too busy being pissed about blizzard trying to milk us with sc2 to care.krunkfu2
you dont have to buy every campaign just buy the ones you like.
he probably likes all of them
at which point he is getting 100 hours of Starcraft 2 single-player content overall, and he can't say he is getting milked.

Buying three complete games is "getting milked" now?
I wonder if you were cursing CryTek's name when you bought Crysis Warhead.
After playing Total War it showed me why I didn't like the RTS resource-gathering style games have copied since Dune 2. (it might be earlier than that, but thats the first one I remember, wait was Herzog Zwei before that on the megadrive? I don't think so lol enough rambling). blue_hazy_basic
Sounds like you like Real Time Tactical games, not Real Time Strategy games. In an RTS, resource management is inseparable from the gameplay. A game that focuses entirely on combat is a purely tactical game. Total War is a RTT/TBS game, because its resource management is turn-based.

I agree entirely. :P I just think the RTS Warcraft games feel dated now. I know its community feels the love for it though.[QUOTE="mjarantilla"][QUOTE="blue_hazy_basic"]After playing Total War it showed me why I didn't like the RTS resource-gathering style games have copied since Dune 2. That's one reason I'm a little worried about StarCraft II. The StarCraft franchise is identified by such a specific sty1e and formula of gameplay, but that formula has arguably been modernized and improved by other companies since then. Still, I have faith in Blizzard.
Because SC is infiantely better than Warcraft. Especially Warcraft 3, we all know how god awful that was. With its silly hero gimmick. I guess they desperately needed something to keep it slightly fresh. At least it opened up some interesting custom games. diped
Huh? Hero Gimmick? Let me guess you were bad at WC3? Nothing was gimmicky about the heroes, they played a huge part in strats. WC and SC play very differently just because you prefer one to the other (I prefer WC) doesn't mean one has gimmicky gameplay :S.
