i don't think you're a fakeboy, just a little misguided for trying to make xbox live into pc gaming....

pc gaming is one thing, console gaming is an entirely different being.  Online services included.

 

nah im not misguided. Paying for Peer to peer online play is not something that should be charged for. Maps espcially from a game company who likes to give out maps for free is BS. but i do understand that MS is foricing epic to do this, so i cant complain any more. ill pay for the maps still because i love gears of war, but i would like to give MS a middle fingxr salute for a job well done.

Why should it be free? Just because you don't want to pay for something doesn't mean it should be free. I don't get where that BS comes from. People want new content but don't want to pay for it?

my point is this . EPIC the company that made Unreal series, the game series that im a fanboy of since the first unreal game and unreal torunament. has always gave away its maps for free. even when epic announced they was going to give out maps for free last month, MS quickly stopped that and said its going to be charged.

Whats going to happen when MS charges 360 gamers for Maps for unreal Torunament 2007, when PC gamers like my self will get it free (because i wont be buying it for the 360) and most likely PS3 gamers. what you going to say then? btw i shall bookmark this thread, so when epic release maps packs for all 3 game machines and 360 users get charged for it, but the other 2 dont, ill just laugh say YOU GOT MILK?

Uhh... up here in Canada (and thats before taxes, with taxes and converted to USD it would still cost $69.99), I know its hard to believe that not everybody lives in the US. I don't even want to know how much it costs in the UK.

well, not everyone can read your mind..  maybe you should have said "$69.99 (in Canada)" so people dont have to assume..

beyond that, the main draw for Motorstorm is the online play imo..  sure, the single-player isnt "deep but it's solid..  honeslty, i'm just playing through the single player so i can unlock more vehicles for online play..  Motorstorm isnt the first game that values online play over single player, and it wont be the last..

i'm sure epic would love to give away all their work..

so you got a copy of the contract between Epic and MS that states MS is forcing them to charge or is this more "logic"? :roll:

WarHawk Devs is full of it. Their game was simply downsized. They had full intent on charging for new content had this game actually have made retail.

Hey I got motorstorm for only $50 from gamefly by keeping the copy that I rented with my free trial.  On the topic of warhawk, it looks good. I like that there are many ways to combat with 32 players, 25 maps, and 4 different planets on dedicated servers. I also like the leveling system that allows you to unlock customization options as you get better. What I really like is the whole 2nd player
(3rd and 4th too) picking up a controller and getting into the online game with you seamlessly changing the screen and fixing it if they leave.  I just hope that they don't charge a full $60 for it. Hopefully the downloadable content bound to come later will be free or cheap. Ditto that for motorstorm.
