I found this interview on 1up...it may be a long read, so read at your own caution. I know alot of people think it looks like crap, but i beg to differ:

I found this part quite interesting, the first time (IMO) a dev shows the actual amount of system power being use by a specific game:

DJ: Oh yeah. We use this engine as the foundation for Calling All Cars. And, just like what we did with the PS2 -- where we laid the foundation with Twisted Metal Black -- as it moves from project to project, it always gets upgraded and it evolves. I mean, we're still learning a lot about the SPUs and all of that stuff. It's kind of a dangerous stat to show on the fly but I'm willing to take a gamble [Shows a debug menu with all the game's processes going on]. Granted, there's not a lot of combat going on at the moment, but you can see with this stat that we're only running at 32 percent usage with the SPUs right now. Which I think bodes well for the longevity of the hardware. We have a ton of SPU jobs -- all these things are going on -- and yet we still have so much power left to use.

PS: sorry for the formating errors...

That game looked really good. I don't know if I'll ever own a PS3 but I'd definetly consider that. I'd like to fly with the tilt controls. I wasnt happy with the motion-sensing pirating by Sony...but I'm glad they at least have it now.

With that untapped cpu power, they could make the warhawks transform like Transformers or Robotech in the game for air and ground combat.

yeah well regaurdless of no single player, I know the multiplayer will not dissappoint, I just hope maybe they can add a single player download later, but I like the developer on how he loves gamers and treats them the way we should be since we buy the games and that alone makes me want to buy this game. I love the sony brand alot but ppl like ken kuturagi is what turns alot of people away because he is so high headed. Other then that this game looks to be awesome and is in my buy list and must have list. :)

Interesting interview gives a good idea of the mindset of the developers and what they are aiming for quality wise but its a bit too sparce on the details of the actual gameplay and features. The warhawk wednesday thing is going to really help hopefully we can get some more details and media on the game from these events.
