Try to avoid jumping in that hole of "woke" bla bla, cause pretty much all of it is just racist, homophobic fucks.
But cringe, is a thing.
Wait, that's Nora?
Even fucking, Batman And Robin didn't mess it up.
She's suppose to essentially be a frozen princess, not an angry Resetera user.
What the ****.
They can change anyone you adored into a racist, glutton, karen and there ain't nobody gonna stop them.

Yes, you are right: there is such a thing as bad character design, that is why my original comment was about the lack of talent there.
I remember you posting about the Jokers design before and I didn't see it as THAT bad back then. But yeah it all starts falling into place now:
Now, the original 4 cast members weren't badly designed, I thought they fit in with the style of the game and they genuinly had a few laughs out of me with their silly banter.
Then Joker arrived for season 1 and yeah his design was bad.
Now they are continuing the downward spiral with this design that is just awful.
Me: "Apparently, that's not Freeze, but Nora. Yeah..."
Him: "Pretty different from the comics.

Me: "Didn't read them, but even that makes me cringe. Nora can be nothing other than the damsel in distress or concerned lover/ex."
Him: "Nora was basically something they came up with for the Batman animated series that was such a good idea, it made it's way in to the comics. Having Victor Freeze accidentally and out of desperation turn Nora in to a monster is kind of cruel. It reminds me of the time that the Superfriends was really popular back in the 1970s, so they put Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog in the DC comics. Then a few decades later, some writer with a stick up his ass about the Superfriends decided to make Wonder Dog an alien creature's disguise and he kills and eats Marvin in a really gruesome fashion."
Me: "Meh. Sounds like there was nowhere to go with Mr. Freeze and they should have worked on a new villain instead of doubling down on his tragedy by giving him a Robin."
I don't know! I liked how Sleeping Dogs did Arkham combat. Better than it's spiritual predecessors (True Crime LA/NYC).
@nintendoboy16: Sleeping Dogs is one of those games that I still remember fondly. :) Weren't they thinking about making a sequel that was online?
Arkham combat was/is awesome if you play for high score. Long combos, mixing as many different moves as possible and setting up high score finishers. It’s not that great if you just want to ”win” (finish a level) with minimum effort. Then you can use really simple tactics.
I don’t think any other studio has done the system nearly as good.

Which makes it a total misrepresentation of what Batman is. Screw Rocksteady and WB.

But a game is also supposed to be a game! I think the combat system is brilliant. Those who just want to go through the story can breeze through the encounters and still get some cool looking combat (it looks way better than in the Nolan movies. Looks like snyder was inspired by it for BvsS).
But there is a learning curve if you want it to look extra cool and feel extra smooth.
