it's no news that sony's gained a loyalty among lots of gamers this last decade, to the detriment of another big company like Nintendo.
ps1 and ps2 totally did tabula rasa and still nowadays people have "playstation" in mind when they hear the word "videogames"
Many games and new Ip's were delivered to the gaming world thanks to Sony.
Then Microsoft decided to put a spoke in its wheels by realizing earlier a next-gen console, while the Wii decided to keep away from the two colossuses and went "casual".
Ps3 had a very slow start and disappointed many gamers, even the most attached to the Sony brand. the price was crazy, fistful of games that couldn't satisfy them made many of them switch to the Ms's console. Until Sony started dropping his first bombs ( Mgs4) and xbox 360 owners started shaking..then other big games followed + price cut and Uncharted 2, the shaking turned into a heartquake.
Despite Sony's big losses, despite the recession, despite everything, Sony's been pursuing that goal that has been its strong point since their very first console: deliver to their costumers great games and make them happy.
That's why we love Sony.
