as for sony, i loved my ps1 and ps2 but after watching the ps3 get off to a rocky start im glad i waited for all the good stuff to kick in before i got one. i don't think psn will ever be pay to play, but i can see them implementing premium services like guaranteed beta codes, discounts, free additional content etc.

i was talking about POWER. the genesis was more powerful than the SNES(even though i loved the SNES my 1st console:D). ike the ps3/360 is more powerful than the wii.

I'm a Genesis fan, but even I'll admit that the SNES was the better piece of hardware in the 16-bit era. It had a larger color pattele, the ability to display more colors on screen at one time, a much better sound chip, and Mode 7(something that was impossible on the Genesis).

The only real edge that the Genesis held over the SNES was the fact that its CPU was faster.

Nope you got it wrong, PSN will always be free just as it is now BUT new service will probably add more stuff for those who pay for it.. as i said the service we know it now will always be the same

no, im pretty sure the snes was more powerful than the genesis. im totally not trying to get into a legacy system war (thats for the legacy systems right?) but i believe the only thing sega had up on the snes was "blast processing" if you compare cpu, sprites, on screen colors, sound channels and basically everything else you'll see the snes had the definite upper hand. that being said, sonic was and still is fun :D and again, just personal opinion, but check out the wiki specs on the snes and genesis sometime.

I love Pc and I hate Microsoft and all gaming industry in general for trying to kill the most beautiful system a gamer can get.

i think sony does have loyal customers without that i can find any reason how they made it this far especially with a bad launch. to me anybody with a ps3 only or who got one at launch are brand loyal customers honestly why else would they buy a ps3 for 600 at the time

they should stop being loyal and buy a 360 make a change

whats foolish? buying from the same company that pulled the plug on its consumer base without a moment's hesitation, rebuying faulty hardaware again and again (in the begining before warranty) payingto play a game you bought on an internet connection you've already paid for, no wifi as standard etc

playing the sales game eh? then that means wii>ps3. and believe it or not nintendo made as much money with the GC as sony with the ps2 because of their sensible marketing skills. so i'm happy:)
