I have an XB1 anyway. Sucks that I have to play the game with a controller and dynamic resolution though. I would rather play 1440p/144fps with M+KB.
Halo has always been fine with a controller. This dynamic resolution thing sounds a bit weird though, hopefully I won't notice it. Totally hyped either way fingers crossed it produces the goods.

and yet, here you are
So then using your logic..........you care about what I think. Thanks dude......
@blueinheaven: It will be noticeable, but it is better than framerate dips.
I guess I'll have to wait and see. I play at 1440p on PC too and I am okay with 1080p on consoles, much below that though and I will start to notice. No way to know yet how much below 1080p it will go when things get hectic on screen.

I found the sub 1080p (1320x1080) Halo 2 graphics distracting in MCC.

Yeah that's a weird one. The cut scenes look amazing but the game itself is not so impressive but that's to be expected considering how old the game is even with a remaster IMO. I was actually impressed with how good Halo 4 looked in MCC, never played it on 360. ODST was great as well when it turned up.
I played Halo Reach on 360 recently and that was bearable too (amazing game). I think Halo 5 will be great I don't expect it to hit full 1080 the whole time I'm just slightly concerned at the dynamic res thing I would rather they had fixed 900p than the damn thing jumping up and down but maybe that's not how it works.

Halo 3 and 4 are pretty good on the MCC. They run at 1080p/60fps most of the time and the graphics transfer over well. Halo 3 has some really bad faces though. lol
I think Halo 4 was one of the most impressive looking games of last gen. It was really pushing the 360 hardware. It looked good, and was technically impressive for a last-gen DX 9.x based game.

Yeah I was kind of shocked at Halo 4 specially since the MCC reviews said they hadn't done much to it. It really doesn't look or play like a game conceived on the 360. So I suppose 343 aren't such chumps after all and there is reason to be optimistic about Halo 5 :)
@darkangel115:
This is what PC has that's new. You can play this right now and it's 100% free, it's not on console though.
I'm sorry but this needs a "lol console multiplayer FPS".
Disclaimer: Under no circumstances am I supporting the flick flacking troll, carry on arguing with him until you're blue in the face.
It's an alpha of a F2P game. I loved the UT games back in the early 2000s but that was 12 years ago and the F2P model in it now makes it at best questionable. How can you compare a game in pre-alpha as a great FPS you can play now lol

the game is Free..not free2play.
difference being Epic aren't releasing the game with locked content
Console fps, waste of time.
What FPS does PC even have besides CS:GO or Titanfall?
Unreal and OverWatch >>>>>>> Halol5
Thanks for your input. And you played Halo 5 when? And come to think of it... Unreal and Overwatch when?
You've just woken up from one of those 'dreams' haven't you? Have you taken your pills?
Im not surprised its not coming to PC . Same morons thought MCC would go to PC just cause a 343 developer said something * We're working on finishing the game but we're listening to PC fans* Then the game never showed up on PC a year later lol. Sunset Overdrive same thing with Ted price saying almost the same thing or watever & the game never came to PC either lol. Not surprised since Insomoniac does not make PC games. FH2? Same thing and never showed up on PC. U also clearly see in the commercials on tv ads XB1 Exclusive!!
So i wish people would stop with this cuz u r only wasting your time like u did last yr or your hands might get cramped up lol. MS already announced the games that ARE going to PC which is Halo Wars 2 next yr alongside XB1. Along with some other titles like indies & wat not which u clearly saw in the logos at E3/ Gamescom...(XB1 & PC in those trailers)
Don't put so much stock in what you see in trailers. It doesn't mean a game cant/wont end up on another platform in the future.

None of that makes this game any less free. It means it'll have optional community created content that may be sold, should the creator so wish.
It's already a far better multiplayer shooter than any version of Halo has ever been.

It makes it as free as killer instinct or drive club.
And no it isn't even close lol
When the Nazi party ran Germany it was the best (and only) party you could vote for; didn't make them good. Comparatively, console fps being predominantly popular, as well as inherently insidious, doesn't make them good either.
Go play Quake my friend, real fps.
I've played quake. it's highly overated. I'd take Unreal and CS over it anyday. Still neither of them are as good as halo.
Of course, these require still. For the laymen, a two weapon insta-shield-regen power boosting microtransaction game is the better option. It's specifically why the series is so popular, it's the bejewell soccer mom of fps.
Quake is specifically for alpha males i.e. lucozade drinkers. The kind of people who view challenge as fun rather than the obstacle.
Sadly, this style of "superior people games" are no longer preferred, and much like Nazi Germany, a better option is denied until the darkness passes.
lol quake is pretty much an unreal rip off but not as good. it's hardly balanced or skill based(mostly 1 shot kills like crazy). the last one was 8 years ago and even then Q3 arena was a better game which was like 11? years ago. I'm pretty sure the series is dead anyway. Even if you say it's better, what somewhat recent PvP shooter does PC have?
Halo is the ultimate skill based game, it's completely balanced. Everyone has the same load outs and set up same movement speed same everything. the TTK is higher then most games allowing a better player to get shot form behind and still win unlike the low TTK games form most casual. Even the lower TTK swat is more skill based, 1 to the head 3 to the body, head shots rule all. weapons are semi auto (no spray and pray) . Team modes actually require teamwork like regicide, CTF, king of the hill and the many modes it has. has modes for 4 total players all the way to 24 total players. The fun non competitive modes like grifball and infection. Halo is the epitome of a perfect multiplayer game. Now this one has dedicated servers and free maps. The microtransactions are all earnable in game and don't effect the competitive game
Unfortunately jealousy cannot change reality; potty young people words mean nothing, the precedence was set, the bar has been lowered, an unchangeable fact as steely and solid as Big Bens chimes.
Those who aspire hate those who have aspired, such is the way of the world.

lol young people words. my kids are probably you age. I like how you couldn't respond to anything i said. but yeah i'll go give UT2015 a shot this weekend, i loved the one form 2003, but it still wasn't halo
@darkangel115:
Are you really comparing user made hats to purchasing characters in Killer Instinct? Dafuq?!
This in no way shows that the Unreal Tournament base game from Epic won't be 100% free just because they will allow for users to charge for custom content. UE4 is free and they provide free content in the marketplace but they allow for other user created assets to be purchased. That doesn't mean UE4 is pay to use...
Console fps, waste of time.
It's the best FPS you can play.
PS4 has killzone which is terrible and I'm pretty sure it's dead now anyway. GG moved onto a new IP
PC has CS:GO which is 3 years old and hasn't had a good FPS shooter on it since
Multiplats are CoD (average), BF series (piss poor), Battlefront (same as BF series),
Console only has destiny (piss poor)
XB/PC only Titanfall (great game but almost 2 years old now and the sequel hasn't even been announced)
What FPS does PC even have besides CS:GO or Titanfall?
Actually, the highest played FPS on consoles currently are: Destiny, CoD, and BF. I do believe that Halo 5 will have high amounts of traffic for the 1st couple of months, but will die down kind of quickly especially after BO3 drops. Current Halo titles have been shown to not have the lasting legs that it's competition seems to show.
FYI, TitanFall 2 have been announced, as a multiplat.

lets try this again...Epic are developing this game with full content(maps, weapons, ect) and ALL of this is free. Anyone will be able to download the game and play UT without being locked out by content designed by the developers themselves and will be a full packaged game . What wont be free however are the mods and maps that modders release If one chooses to charge for them.
How exactly is this similar to buying season passes to unlock fighters in killer instinct?

...well expect for the part of drive club not being free
Just means less people will get to play the game.
This. Your loss MS, but I'm not buying a shitbox.
I don't think PC gamers want to play a console game though.
I don't know about that....they seem to want console games on PC.
I didn't realize there was much demand from PC gamer's for Halo 5. Though it is a shame nobody can experience the game at an acceptable resolution. If any PC gamer really wants to play Halo 5 they would just buy a Xbox One, it's a fairly cheap piece of hardware for anyone with a job.
In all honesty, never understood the hype for Halo games, I've played all of them on the X360 and will be getting Halo 5 only because there are no other FPS games to play...Its a generic shooter with bulky as f*** enemies who jump around like maniacs and Halo 5 graphics is only a little better than ps2 graphics...
Are hermits begging for this game?
Maybe a few. But in general, no. Most PC gamers lost interest in Halo when Halo 2 became Vista exclusive and MS tried to pull the ol' charge for online play crap with GFWL. It was then boycotted into the ground so hard MS forfeited their entire scheme and they never tried it again on the PC platform. Fairly recently GFWL was shut down entirely and most of their game copy protection was handed over to Valve and their games now use Steam.
For those reasons Halo 3, 4, and 5 are unlikely to ever be on PC, though stranger things have happened. But it's been so long since a Halo game was on PC few probably care. And looking through this thread, I'd say that would be an accurate assumption.
There are lots of far better shooters on PC anyway.
FPS's are basically designed for consoles. I have never played one on a computer. Couldn't careless here.
