Thing is thats not a lot if you consider during any weekend Steam alone hits close to 2 million. And that was before modern warfare 2. And thats one platform owned by an independent developer.

Also like to point out not every PC gamer uses steam.

And before you say well lots of 360 players don't go online. Online atleast then we know the PC is much bigger, especially when we add world of warcraft and the other MMOs.

Halo 3 has only sold 8 million or so copies so if every single one of those people are still playing the game and are online enabled, it still isn't at WOW's numbers.

Steam is like an instant messenger. You can be connected and not playing anything and where is your link? When you look at the stats it says 1.8 million are connected bu twhen you look at the game stats it doesn't even come close to that number.

There were more "gaming PC's" sold than consoles since the release of the 360.

Adding the handhelds, then no. PC sales stand at around 200 million or so.
