If you want my advice, which isn't clouded by fanboism, then you should probably get the console that the majority of your friends are on. The two consoles are pretty similar, and since you mentioned CoD I imagine you are a online shooter fan. That said, both are about equal online these days, and they share most of the same games. Neither have a strong enough exclusive list yet to really have me suggest one over the other.

I play mainly on PS4, but it isn't because I think it's better, it's because that is what most of the people I know own. I play my Xbox with a couple buddies from time to time as well. My WiiU is best for single player exclusives in my opinion.

If you have a good gaming PC, I would recommend getting both XB1 and PS4 just for the exclusives. If your PC is not that good, I would recommend upgrading your PC before doing anything. The Wii U... sorry, I can't recommend it until they come out with some proper AAA exclusives like Zelda.
