Were Quantum Break and Halo 5 MS' attempt at "movie games"?

Quantum Break is a TV series game not movie game.

The movies weighed down Quantum Break hard, when the game was actually decent. It was a gimmick that I hope no one repeats.

I loved the setup of Quantum Break.

I just didn't like the ratio of watching vs playing.

Why Halo 5? Quantum break I get the thrust of the argument but I don't see how this applies to Halo.

Oh yeah, Quantum Break is a TV series and never was consider a movie game at all. Halo Nightfall is a TV mini series that ties into Halo 5.

Lems have made the definition of movie game so broad in a attempt to damage control every game on PS4 that is not on the Xbox that every game that has at least a CG sequence is now a movie game by those standards. Even Forza is practically a movie game by now.

Am I the only one who doesnt see the correlation between the 3 screenshots in the OP, and whatever criteria OP is supposed to be using to describe "movie games"?

We get it OP, you're still butthurt from people relentlessly (and correctly) mocking Sony last gen for making movie games. Apparently the people criticizing Sony were correct, considering that Sony's biggest studios this gen, NaughtyDog and Santa Monica Studios for example, responded to that criticism by DRASTICALLY departing from their old formulas for their most recent releases, and were rewarded hansomly for it, in both critical reception and sales. Very few of you would prefer the old Uncharted and God of War formulas, over the current ones.

If it werent for our mockery, instead of playing Horizon Zero Dawn, Guerrilla Games would still be machine gun shitting out Killzone games, and you Cows would still be forced to pretend you enjoy playing them, like you were last gen. You're welcome for that by the way.

Don't flatter yourself, no one cares what lems think, much less Sony. Lems were not mocking the movie games thing last gen, it is this gen that they went crazy damage controlling any game Sony releases as a movie game. Sony simply doesn't care (as they shouldn't) and keeps breaking sales records while MS struggles to not cancel their next fauxclusive. Meanwhile if you lemmings had heard the mockery real gamers did of kinect last gen instead of defending MS milking you and scamming you with that useless gimmick maybe you wouldn't have had the disaster of gen you had. If anything lems should pay more attention to cows since cows know better what lems wanted than they themselves since lems spend most of the time with their heads up MS ass to really know what they want. Now MS went crazy buying sudios in an effort to become a bit like Sony. You can thank cows later if ever that pays off.

Same. In fact, I'd even go as far as I don't care if the game suddenly "removes/lessens control" on certain segments. It's on par or even better than watching a traditional cutscene. I do understand if some don't like that feeling of disconnect though.
