I was a Nintendo kid up until the Saturn... then I guess I was both...
but just FYI - there is a Legacy gaming board on gamespot.
Sega Kid had the Master System 2 then the MegaDrive 2 and finally the Dreamcast i loved everything SEGA!!! Never had the Saturn skipped that in favour of the PS1 and N64.Used to be Sega.
I'm not pro-nintendo as people like to think, i am pro-the best fun and most beautiful experiences. This generation the DS and PC are the best IMO. And the wii does have a special place for me because it was the embodiement of an insight that many people on here lack.
Next generation it could all be different. We don't know, and that's part of the excitement :D
I'm also very much pro freedom, acceptance and doing what brings us closest to our ideals, not what someone else tells us. So i can be against anti-piracy methods if they aren't absolutely perfect, against marketing methods if they are even a tiny bit deceiving, and against buying games that support a company that is leading us into a wrong direction. That doesn't mean i am against that specific company doing those things, just because i'm a fan of another company. No, regardless what company does those things, i simply disapprove. Some people on here find that hard to grasp so i thought i would clarify.
Sega 8)
Genesis, 32x, saturn, dreamcast.
tho I appreciated and recongnized the greatness of nintendo, I liked going with the underdog especially since they made such awsome games. (people never game sega credit for being the first ones to truely usher in the age of 3d gaming)
Was Nintendo here, my first console was the NES entertainment pack whick included the system, two controllers, the orange light gun and Mario bros. with Duck hunt. (they don't bundle like this anymore). and since then:
Super Nintendo
GameGear
Nintendo 64/Saturn/PSX
Gamecube/PS2
Ps3/wii
I was a Sega Genesis owner back in the day by accident, my parents got me this console without me even knowing but I am glad they did. I had a blast playing all the various game from Sonic, Shinobi, Street of Rage, Golden Axe, and other interesting title. I didn't missed much since I had access to both console.
I owned everything Nintendo until the Playstation got released. Alot of my friends had Sega systems so I got to play them as well just never really cared for them as much as Nintendo.
Both, but mostly Nintendo. For Nintendo I had the NES, SNES, Gameboy and N64, for Sega I had the Genesis, Dreamcast and Game Gear. I got the N64 because I wanted to play Mario 64 and Zelda OOT, butI remember whenI tried Sonic Adventure on a Dreamcast ata Toys R Us,I couldn't resist because that game was so fun.
I was a Nintendo kid first (NES, then SNES), but I sold my SNES and got a Genesis and Sega CD, then I got a Playstation which is probably the system I had the most fun on, then I got a Dreamcast which was awesome then I got a PS2, near the end of last gen I had all three systems. This gen I am Sony & Nintendo with a PS3 and PSP and a Wii and DS. I had a 360 but sold it and basically dislike Microsoft as a company (I even got a Macbook and am primarily an Apple Computer user now.)
I've had all Nintendo consoles from the SNES so that makes me a Nintendo kid.ForsakenWicked
me too8) i remember me and this kid in my class alwas arguing on which was better. I won most of the time, partly because of super mario world, and partly because only 2 kids in my class owned a genesis8)
