Ignoring what consoles have done for PC's is just plain stupid

I'm not ignoring it. But, can you make a bullet list of exactly what consoles have done for the PC?
I can think of one:
- not counting the arcades, joysticks and gamepads moved from console to computers.
Perhaps the most apparent one would be that consoles sapped a huge portion of the FPS market from PC. That sounds like a terrible thing but PC gaming was not so varied as it used to be. Sure there were some other games from other genres on the market but nowhere near the quantity that they are now.
Last gen PC would have never gotten big budget titles like Assassin's Creed, Dead Space, etc. Due to the multiplatform nature of this generation, PC gamers can play such titles.
Slower hardware growth... now here is the tricky one and many people will probably disagree with me but w/e. The whole mentality of upgrading every half a year has always been exaggerated but had some truth in previous gens. Some people would rather have greater hardware but PC devs don't want to leave behind consoles. so financially it's not viable in today's market, outside of being an indie dev (in which their would be no need for high-end hardware as it is). This does mean slower hardware growth but PC gaming is much more affordable now and hardware only gets cheaper over time. This gen, a single high-end card from 2006 could have gotten you through the whole gen, playing multiplat games whereas in previous gens, that would have never held up for so long without upgrading.
Uniformity of hardware and drivers is a great thing. It's much, much easier to get the matching parts that you want (if you're into building PCs) and easier to get the right drivers to work correctly for the right games. In PC vs console debates, consolites love to bring up the woes of getting a frustrating PC game to work. And that point against PC gaming would have had much more relevance in previous years.
I know you asked for bullet points but I can't really but these points into 1 sentence constructs, sorry :P
Dead Space I can agree with. The team that made Dead Space had a history of previously making console games only. It's arguable whether AC wouldn't have been made for the PC without consoles in mind. After all, Ubisoft (publisher of AC) has been a longtime computer game developer. I first heard of them when they used to make games for the Commodore Amiga in the late 80's. I definitely heard of them when they came out with the (superlative) IL2 Shturmovik and LOMAC flight sims for the PC. It's only with their recent stance on piracy that their PC game development came into question.
Other examples of big budget console titles that made it from consoles to PC in the past are the Tomb Raider and Resident Evil games.
As for my stance on big budget titles.... I already mentioned it earlier. There's definitely some stuff that make its way from consoles to the PC. But, be it game genres or technology, the cross-pollination is way stronger going from PC to console. Well, the PC is getting Kinect. I'm not sure if that's good for some people here. On the other hand, some of the less popular stuff from the PC side are making its way into consoles as well such as bugs, patches, and updates. He He.
Edit: Never mind about the bullet list. I was merely trying out what my (former) bosses used to tell me. I just wanted to see what kind of result it would get.
