What 9.5 game will win GOTY?

There are 5 nominees here on Gamespot that have a 9.5 or above:

- Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

- Dragon Age: Origins

- Forza Motorsport 3

- Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony

- Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

Either UC2 or DAO, I'm happy with either one winning it. :)

Uncharted 2 will probably win it. There is virtually no chance of Chinatown War winning. A handheld game will probably never win GotY from Gamespot.

It was released in 2008 and it scored a 7.5 in gamespot (for some reason) so..

But lately (and by lately I mean like the past 5 years at least) score has mattered, or at least the higher scoring ones of those years have been the ones who won GOTY.

I honestly don't think that Gamespot will award GOTY to a Handheld game, no matter how great, nor a DL XBLA expansion. Don't get me wrong, I'm just telling you that's how I see it.

Now, that leaves DRAGON AGE, Uncharted 2, and Forza Motorsport.

I would think FORZA will get overlooked as it's a racer, but I may be wrong.

I think Gamespot will insert UBER popular 9.0 games MW2, and possibly KZ2, Demon's Souls, Streetfighter, and Batman AA to fill the void.

I think it will be a race with :

Batman

Killzone 2

MW2

Dragon Age

Forza 3

StreetFighter 4

Demon's Souls

Uncharted 2

Who knows what will win, but Uncharted 2 has the most CRITICAL praise of all those games, and GS may consider that, or may not. I'm not sure SW knows this but as far as Console Exclusives UNCHARTED 2 is the second highest reated game this entire gaming generation (Pretty good with 103 reviews). It's a shame that hardcore's won't play it due to brand loyalty. That's every variable I can think of.

Uncharted 2 for its cinematic qualities, Demons Souls for its innovations and brute challenge, New Super Mario Bros Wii for multiplayer and 2D console mario platformer.

one of the few games that actually is worth its price. most of the other games there, save maybe forza 3 are pretty much a rip off.

I'll have to go with Uncharted 2 just from its gamerankings and metacritic scores.

Let me make this clear: I am not bashing the other games, but it's easy to figure out. (There are great but very unlikly to win for these reasons)

Uncharted 2:Has a great chance

Dragon Age: Orgins-Also has a good chance at it.

Forza 3-A racing game

GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony-A DLC

GTA: CW-A handheld game.

So Uncharted 2 and Dragon Age: Orgins have the best chance at it by far. (not bashing)

Dragon Age should win it. It's easily the best out of all of them. But Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2 also have very good shots at it.

Forza doesn't because it's a racing sim, and the GTA games are DLC and a handheld, resptively. They just don't carry the same weight.

If you read my 3rd sentence, which will require some context reading and interepretation. I was talking about exclusives, but I should have typed that, but if you look at my post, It was way too long as it is. I thought my link, mentioning brand loyalty, and using the word SECOND would imply that Mario Galaxy was first, and GTA/OB weren't exclusive. Of course, I realize when you type a lot of words in SW, someone will study, and study and try to pick apart a few words here and there, so I understand. To be honest, I could have made my comment much longer, but by tomorrow this thread will most likely be gone, making such an effort a collosal waste of time.

Glad that I could make my intentions more clear to you, since I do recognize SMG as awesome, which I'm sure you're aware of with that Nintendo Pikachu avatar.

That being said, Uncharted 2 does have more reviews than any of those games (a whopping 103!).I will go back and make sure I'm real clear, since you had a problem with a small percentage of my posts wording, and the context clues weren't obvious enough. :)

Uncharted, hands down. I don't really think anything else competes. Uncharted 2 had some of the best critic reviews of any game ever. It also is owned by a huge number of PS3 players.I don't think that racers like Forza 3 appeal to enough people for GOTY, and DAO didn't reveive AMAZING reviews on consoles.

ehh sorry but people rarely talk about DA:O maybe because only the PC version is good, the others arent bad but they arent great either.
