what are some of the reasons that will cause u not to buy a next gen console

I have young kids which means my backlog of owned but unplayed PS3 games is taller than they are. I just can't justify spending the money on a PS4 that won't play my unplayed games and won't have time to play new PS4 games either. BECAUSE I have young kids who are obsessed with Mario, I bought the Wii U so I could play some new Nintendo/Mario games instead of playing through Mario Galaxy for the 5th or 6th time.

Not allowing used games would be the only deal breaker I can think of. Mainly because I want to be able to sell  games I don't like, and rent games I am unsure of.

I will probably get a PS4. Since I have a PC, I mostly play on that but there are some games that are only on consoles. I will probably not get an XBOX becauseI do not like the direction they have been going the last few years. I think they are getting away from focusing on the games that I like to play.

Money.  PS4 already has me salivating over Killzone 4 and Infamous Second Son.  I much prefer Playstation exclusives over Xbox's.  

360: if they did not fix the dpad (to have separate buttons). now since they are releasing their 3rd console there is no excuse to not fix a problem that every1 is annoyed with.

wiiu: if they did not release mario games on it (i dont think they wont lol)

ps4: no proper backward compatibility = no buy for me

Sequels and no new IPs. I mean obviously there will be new IPs, but if all we see is sequel after sequel like we did this gen, I will be short lived for me.

Well, PS4 already gets games that run at 720p, that's pretty pathetic. I've played games in high resolutions than that 10 years ago...

Then, Xbox 720 aparently won't allow used games? Well I won't waste a dime on that console either then.

Wii U, they barely catched up with 360/PS3 in 2013.. seriously... but the excluvies seem rather interesting.

PC, I haven't upgraded in 6 years and I can still play every game with mid to high graphics at 1600x900 resolution, if I can upgrade my

PC to run next gen games for less than $600 I might consider a few more years of being a PC only player but I'm not sure. I loved PSX and PS2,

sadly PS3 was a big dissapointment, if the PS4 turns out to be better then I guess that's the console I'll be getting.
