Getting a PS2 for the first time, along with the first Dragon Ball Z Budokai and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3.
Good times.

This image brings bad memories. Back when my original PS2 destroyed my Kingdom Hearts and Star Wars Battlefront 2 discs. And all the countless minutes it took sitting next to it, pressing the restart button, just to get it to play a PS2 game.
I still have that PS2 system too. For some reason it can only read PS1 games. So now I just call it my PS1.
Buying the PS3, excited to play all the "world class" exclusives, only to leave disappointed with just about everything aside from Demon's Souls, and maybe MGS 4.
At least RDR was a very pleasant memory... but not so pleasant were the memories of the PS3 collecting dust for months after I played through its exclusive library.
PS1
when my mom arrived 2 days before my 7th birthday with a playstation, with Heart of Darkness, WWF warzone, Tekken 2 and V-rally
playing 100+ hours of Final Fantasy VIII and IX
playing through Crash Bandicoot 2,3 like 4x
playing Crash Team Racing every saturday sunday with all my friends at my friends house
PS2
getting crazy when i first stole a car and laughing so hard in GTA vice city.
playing 100+ hours of Final Fantasy X, beating all the dark aeons and nemesis in the arena.
seeing alot of Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
PS3
all these brilliant games
God of War 3, Uncharted trilogy, all Assassins Creed, Red Dead Redemption, Far Cry 3, Heavyrain, The Last of Us, GTA V, Batman Arkham City. and also how dissapointing Final Fantasy XIII is
-Buying a PS2 just so that I could play Dragon Quest VIII and ending up playing almost nothing else on the system.
-Buying a PS3 over a 360 because it had more exclusives only to end up playing mostly only multiplats as each of those exclusives disappointed me. My first play through of inFAMOUS was a REALLY good memory though. There was just something about that game that resonated well with me.
Playing Wipeout, lots and lots of Wipeout!
The original Resi games, MGS's etc and also a bunch of us playing Royal Rumble matches on Smackdown 2 and passing the controller to the next person when you got thrown over the ropes.
Turning my PS1 upside down so it could read my discs.
599 US dollars. Must get two jobs to get a PS3. Riddgggggggggggggge Racer. Sony PSN hack. No Vita support. Vita memory card prices. Sony losing all the money they made on the PS1 and PS2. Sony doing poorly. PSN terrible service. No party chat because not enough memory.
Getting a PSOne for my birthday and pretty much exclusively buying terrible games for it for some reason. Luckily my friend used to have good taste so I'd borrow games from him. Unfortunately him and his brother had that annoying habit of swapping games and then putting the disc of the game that was in the console into the case of the new one, so a lot of the time I'd borrow a game and it would be either a completely different one to the case or just an empty box.
I also remember playing Resi 2 and being amazed when I blew a zombies head off for the first time, I was probably about 10 at the time so that was pretty crazy to see.
Playing the first MGS, Hell every MGS! Playing games of NHL with buddies, where you had to pick what team from a hat, and whipping one friend with Columbus; a friend lending me FF10 because he swore it was from heaven, and I fell asleep during the opening; Nightmare creatures on PS1, Owning all with two battle buddies in GoW MP earlier this year.
I forgot about the time that Heil68 got caught petting the one eyed snake at a local gamestop to a copy of Crash Team Racing.
I got a Ps1 really late, I remember playing the Spyro games on it then my mom broke it, that was close to Christmas time so I got a Ps2 with DBZ budokai (I was a DBZ fanatic) soon after on Christmas morning and played the crap out of it. I learned just about every combo in that game, some were ridiculously long lol.
The other big memory I have was finally getting a Ps3 in 2009 when the console started to hit its stride, I played a lot of "big" games for almost a week straight. Uncharted 2, Infamous, Ratchet a Crack in time and Tekken 6. It was also around christmas time, I was just floored by all of these games because before then I only had a Wii. Man, I think I played Uncharted 2 for a whole straight day!
Before this gen, almost all my gaming time was on Nintendo platforms. I didn't have the knowledge to get the best out of playstation consoles back then, but i'm giddy with excitement about the Ps4.
Buying the thing in the first place. With money we'd saved up ourselves (by slowly leeching it off our parents). Guy in the store told my mom maybe I'd want to get Ridge Racer instead, but screw that, I wanted Resident Evil.
My brother ghettosplicing video cables to hook the Playstation up to two TV's to eliminate splitscreen screenwatching. It's like LANing with one machine, and half a screen.
Gran Turismo looking like reality.
Having to flip the thing a quarter upside down to get it to read discs.
<<That. And black discs were awesome.
Devil May Cry made me fall in love with the PS2. Before that I played PC. Hack'n'Slash is to this day my fav genre because of DMC.
Other than that I remember playing Primal (my first PS2 game) and being completely in awe with Splinter Cell. Then all of my top 5 games were PS2 games: Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 4, MGS3, DMC3 and God of War.
I remember spending too much time with FFX, FFXII, GTA: San Andreas and GT4. More than 100 hours with each. Good times when a game made me excited. Now it seem I feel forced to play games :'( Hate growing old
The PS3 also gave me fond memories with the Uncharted series, the Souls series, RDR, Journey, MGS4, Bayonetta, MGR:R, GoW3 and Ascension, GT5 and more recently GTA V.
All my gaming life was connected to the Playstation brand and, unless Sony really screws up, I'll always support it.
