You should also make it a minimum of 3 games in the franchise. Games like GoW are fresh, but to really test if it is a AAA franchise will be if the sequels will continue to remain awesome. Simply, there haven't been enough games in the franchise for me to consider it a AAA franchise. Same with Perfect Dark.
He meant every game in the franchise had to get AAA here, I think. And we all know what happened to that in the Zelda one. And I'm sure our of 12 Final Fantisies, one of them didn't get it. But I believe KOTOR is one. If we say only game out of the franchise needs to be AAA then we could throw names like Tony Hawk in there.
i think every Final Fantasy was AAA, that MMO doesn't count, it's not a real Final Fantasy in my book.
Final Fantasy X-2 didn't get AAA.
FF X-2 was side story, not part of the main FF franchise. it was not a side story, to me it looked like a full game, just as ff xi is. just accept the fact that there have been some lame ff games I actually like FFX-2 And it was side story mostly made to re-use the back ground graphics used in FFX for low-budget money making. One look at the game and you knew this was not a serious game and shouldn't be taken seriously. If it was PC, it would've been an expansion. Also, considering companies could make blunders, if you want AAA franchise, do it on average instead of picking every single individual games. Eventually a franchise is bound to make a game too similar to previous game and wind up getting lower than 9.0
