What are the Best Coop Games ever?

For a while now, I've been enjoying the greatness that is the Sven Co-op mod for Half Life 1. However, after getting bored of it, I realized there is very little coop games out there. And so I ask for all to tell of their co-op exploits, wether it is on PC or Console, Mod or original product, Share a Coop Expiariance@!

Concerning previously-mentioned games: -Halo 1 and 2: I found both of them boring campaign-wise, even with a friend. The original still has some good multiplayer, but it's not exactly co-op. -Streets of Rage 1-3: There's nothing like beating the crap out of random thugs with a friend to the beat of excellent Yuzo Koshiro soundtracks. -Guardian Heroes: I want this game. Badly. Very badly. All I know about it is that it's sidescrolling Treasure brawler goodness that has a ridiculously similar title to Gunstar Heroes, but it sounds just like my type of game. -Metal Slug: Oh. Hell. Yes. -System Shock 2: I hate to say it, but when I first played this game back when it was on store shelves, I never even knew about the multiplayer patch. Then, I might have convinced my father to come with me and make our way through the Von Braun. Now, I probably have less of a chance to play SS2 in co-op mode, though I might be able to get something worked out. -Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu 2: This(and Seiken Densetsu 3)would be a very fun co-op game, but I've never really managed to get any of my friends to sit down here for a few hours and punch Rabites with me. (One of them DOES like SoM, but he doesn't live near me.) Now, on to my nomination: Operation Flashpoint: Elite. What, I'm primarily a PC gamer, and I went with the Xbox version? Supposedly better netcode in Elite, though I lose out on mods and control options. Still, it's great fun sharing co-op maps with your friends and trying to complete the mission. I can only imagine Armed Assault and OFP2 being even better. (Oh, and PZ, how come you didn't mention Power Stone 2? Didn't you say that game was awesome with four-player co-op?)

I loved the Gears of War online co-op and Halo CE's single player co-op -> not online unfortunately.

Halo:CE. It's really surprising how few coop games there are considering it's so awesome and loved. Hopefully all these upcoming games with a focus on coop like Army of Two, Haze, UT3 and others can finally provide some amazing experiences I haven't had since Halo:CE.
