Seeing as I can't afford to buy any of the new hits that are coming out, I've decided to go back in time and play the big hits I missed. Wondering what games are should plays from the last generation. So far I have:

Ninja Gaiden
Ninja Gaiden Black
Okami
Persona 3
Devil May Cry 3

I have played:

Shadow of the Colusses
Warrior Within
Prince of Persia Series

I basically have played most of the big ones but were there any I missed such as the ones named up top? No sports games please, they are all the same. Sleeper hits such as Silent Hill and Persona are always welcome for recommendation. Basically any real good games I missed. Thanks

you seem to like Devil May Cry style action games, yet you haven't given Otogi a try? As a fan of the genre I would certainly give Otogi 1 and 2 onthe xbox a go.

The Zelda series, the Soul Calibur series, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and pretty much every fighting game out there.

Shadow of the Colossus. GTA San Andreas. Halo 2. Zelda: Wind Waker. Metroid Prime. That really is all you needed last gen.

I would say u should give the Jak series a whirl although u should definately visit God of War 1 and 2 first.

If you can find Ico for the PS2 it's a really good game and DQVIII is a great RPG

Yea I forgot to mention I played Wind Waker and the Jak Series, minus the first one :(. The ones I added from this list are MGS 2, Psychonauts, KOTOR, ICO, and possibly Soul Calibur. As for God of War as much as I want to play them I have to wait for PS3 so I can play them downstairs away from my brother who will want to play to the point of obsession, but alas, is not allowed to. Thanks for the great suggestions. Also yes I like Ninja Gaiden and DMC style games. My favorites I listed were SotC Silent Hill 2 FFX Half Life Kingdom Hearts Prince of Persia DMC Zelda (Majora's Mask prefferably:) P.S. I really want Okami and Psychonauts 67gt500 and MGS. Which MGS should I get if I played 3 already?

What about Zone of the Enders 2, an excellente action game and if you like RPGs, Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos.

I just did the same thing. I really enjoyed XIII, Beyond Good and Evil & Knights of the Old Republic as well. I would also recommend Jade Empire, Shenmue 2, and Morrowind if you have not played them.

Play MGS1 then 2. They are both great, but a little old fashioned compared to MG3, but still are great games. I played the MG series in order since I was new to it around MGS4"s debut: MGS3, Metal Gear, MG2:Solid Snake, MGS1, MGS2, MGS4.

Try Onimusha Series, Fatal Frame Series, and Time Splitters Series. You have a great choice in games.

Lol sorry looks like you guys pointed more I forgot to say I played. Ones you mentioned I beat were Psi Ops FF12 Fatal Frame 1 and 2 Time Splitters Series XIII Luigi's Mansion New ones I saw I haven't yet played and would like to try were Beyond Good and Evil Knights of the Old Republic Tales of Symphonia Chronicles of Riddick Onimusha Series

Dark Cloud 1+2, Sly Cooper 1-3, Jak and Daxter 1-3, Kingdom Hearts 1+2, Bully, God of War 1+2, Tony Hawk's Underground and Downhill Domination. Downhill Domination seems a little out of place, but I loved that game.

Other than that, I'd say Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alliance, the God of War series, The Zeldas, and of course, my favorite, the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic series. Probably some of my favorite games ever...
