decided to fire up god of war for a quick go this morning.

girlfriend walks in, "what you playing?"

"god of war."

"what you doing?"

"i'm just carrying this injured magic boar to that giant tortoise over there with a tree on its back so the witch who lives underneath it can heal it, why?"

I just did the tutorial segments of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelists.

Iceborne, Xenoblade Chronicles DE and AC: NH, most likely.

I've been hooked on Hollow Knight lol. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I think it's a brilliant game, but I dislike the Dark Souls elements and the way they handle navigation. It adds a lot more unnecessary frustration. I think Ori and the Will of the Wisps handles that aspect better. But don't get me wrong, I love the game. But yea.. about Xenoblade. Maybe I'll put in sometime tomorrow. I think I'm 65% through Hollow Knight.

I am playing KOTOR for the first time. It feels old-fashioned as hell, but I'll stick with it and hope the game will win me over with its gameplay.

I'm also playing Child of Light and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. All on the X.

Been switching between super Mario Bros 3,xevious and dkc1

Finished Knack (mediocre, the game never really evolved from what you did the first level) and moved on to the Last Guardian. It’s the jankiest pos I’ve played in a long time lol. This is how gaming used to be long ago. Wow! I know it was in development hell, but still. Probably should have canceled it.

@Sushiglutton: TLG is borderline a masterpiece. I'm being dead serious. It's a little janky - but I really didn't have problems controlling TLG at all

I'm between Pokemon Shield and GTA V :D

Just got the first ending of Hollow Knight. *realizes that there is more effort needed to unlock the remaining endings; deletes game* lol. Great game though, but I'm good.

Perhaps it will grow on me. For now I’m mostly frustrated. I mean I do see a lot of quality. The beast is very well animated, moves and behaves like an animal. There have been some very cool moments. I like combat. Just run to Trico and hide in his feathers while he does the work. And then pet him afterwards to calm him ☺️.

But controls are so poor in an old school kind of way. The game has no ability to interpret what you are obviously trying to do (like picking up an object, or jump to a chain). This is so standard in modern games I forgot how janky games used to feel. Some movements are so sloooow, which can drive you nuts when you are trying to figure out what to do. And Trico doesn’t exactly follow my commands (which I guess could be somewhat by design).

It was too harsh to say it should have been canceled, but some of the design makes my blood boil a little lol. Still, I will try to finish it, want to see where it goes. It is a truly unique game, that’s for sure.
