Going to install Redfail on PC gamepass. This might be the last game from Arkane before they fold.
Been playing a lot of STALKER Anomaly, so that. It's really good. Puts to shame Redfail in the content department.
Perhaps a little of RE4 Remake on a second play through. Some SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom, maybe some Street Fighter V. Might play some Resident Evil 5.
How is the state of Darktide these days? Haven't played it for a couple months.
I didn't think it was that bad, I just thought it was kind of slow-paced and the unlocks were lame.
Really wanted to like. Loved Vermintide 2.
I think the last couple of updates added more unlocks and things to do in between missions for sure.
I'd say the state of the game is quite good, I'm happy with my 30 euro purchase and I'm down for a ton more games!
Yeah, while I don't regret my purchase at all (played over 200h of it), I wish there was more content. The thing that bugs me the most is that Vermintide 2 had 3 classes for every character on launch, while Darktide still only have one class per character. Still a fun game, but.. V2 was better. DT will only get better with time though, just like the VT games. Also wish it was better optimized, but it's way better now than on launch.
If you think it was slow @mrbojangles25 the difficulty and modifiers can mix that up pretty well. When you have all skills unlocked and get to level 4 quests with something like the "high intensity" modifier, it's a bit different. Definitely agree with unlocks being lame. At least they added some more stuff in the latest updates.

What's your favorite class so far?
I was playing Ogryn, thought it was pretty fun, didn't dabble too much with others. I like support classes and being a tanky beast seemed fun, and I love the attitude and lore behind Ogryns.
Nice little audio story for any WH40K fans, Gav and Bob
I'll probably like be playing Age of Wonders 4 just biding my time until I can pre-order the ASUS ROG Ally. Pretty pumped up and kind of glad my pre-order on the Steam Deck fell through about a year and a half ago due to missing the date.. lol.
I'll be there day one for this one. They are partnering with MS and it's running Windows 11 with twice the performance? Hell yeah, sign me up.
@mrbojangles25: Probably Ogryn actually. I find their weapons very fun to use, and being such a great assett to the team is always fun.
Next on my fun list is probably the Psyker. That one always have something to do, and the staffs are really fun to use.
Started with sharpshooter and that one's a killing machine and really fun for that reason. After finding my favorite weapons and played a lot I got a bit burned out on it though. Again, need more classes.
Not a big fan of the Preacher yet. Felt too basic for some reason. Might be more fun with all the skills unlocked though.

Mine's sharpshooter. I think Vermintide has excellent combat it's just that these melee games always have me controlling their swords and spears with the mouse but I feel way more at home wielding guns.
That's why I think Darktide hits that perfect middle ground between ranged and melee warfare.
Thanks, I'll give a listen to that podcast.

I spent a couple hours with Redfall this morning; pretty fun once you get past the initial shock of its mediocre quality.

A very accurate statement.😂
@last_lap:Going retro, I see. Dang, that dark'n'devilish Wonderboy cover doesn't remind me of the game at all. I thought the cover would picture a happy boy in underwear with a blue sky and trees in the background. At least that is how I remember it.
That's the actual game you're remembering, very colourful, clouds in the sky etc.

I'm really good at stating the obvious.
Just wanted to pop in in here and say that i don't like the re4r merchant one bit. Massive downgrade from the original. Shittier lines, much shittier voice/tone and he is constantly repeating the same damn line a billion time.
Giving NHL 23 a go,been a good sports instalment. EA hasn’t had competition towards an NHL title in years.
Am I the only one having a hard time getting into RE4R? It's just not videogamy enough.
Did you like the OG? Thought I remembered you being into it.
I liked the remake a lot. Definitely took some getting used to at first, Leon feels so sluggish and unresponsive compared to the original. But I still enjoyed it, some of the changes are actual improvements.
Still prefer the OG though.
@ConanTheStoner: Loved the original, must've played through it a half dozen times.
Remake just hits a bit different.
I can see that it's a high quality affair, just prefer the og.
@getyeryayasout:
Yep, hear that. Once I settled in with the remake, enjoyed the hell out of that first play. Then like half way through the second play, got bored lol. I'm sure I'll play it again sometime, but it won't get nearly the same burn as the OG did.
You were into BotW, right? Playing that TotK leak right now, game is just holy shit lol.
Am I the only one having a hard time getting into RE4R? It's just not videogamey enough.
Gameplay wise, the only difference i see between it and the original is that this one is way less arcadey. Personally prefer the remake over the original, but of course, for 2005 standards, the original was way more impressive and "fun".
Even though it can be a slog to go through, Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is great. The stories and presentation are really fun.

Played through it two times now, on Hardcore and Professional. So obviously I didn't have a hard time getting into it, and enjoyed it quite a bit. That said, I think the original is a lot better. Remake is good, but.. yeah. A lot of the charm was lost.
Some changes were for the better, the removal of QTEs, for example. But most changes just made it different, not necessarily better. They also made the game a bit more boring by removing a lot of the cheese. They also took out some enjoyable parts. Was looking forward to a specific boss, only to notice that whole part isn't in the game. None of the new parts the remake added were especially great either. Leon felt sluggish to control and the whole gameplay just isn't as snappy as the original.
So I don't blame you. Even with the removal of QTEs, the remake feels more cinematic to me than the original ever did.
Pleasantly surprised by Bayonetta Origins. It truly is an origin story, and the build up is faithful to the games. Just heard an orchestral version of one of the Bayonetta songs and fought my first Angel!
